I’m sorry, I’m drunk and depressed with my cancer diagnosis.

I’m sorry for offending anyone with my banter or comments about anything baseball or football related. I’m not doing well with my diagnosis, and I should have been better. I’m sorry. I’m gonna refrain from posts like that til I’m in remission because I’m so passionate it comes off as arrogance

As for SC, thank you for helping me and teaching me and for helping me calm with my diagnosis. It came on suddenly the week we came to you guys and although we didn’t play the whole series, y’all were great sports

I’m not talking out of my arse FWIW. It was a convo at Ruth’s Chris of former players. I will refrain from letting go of that information as well.

I’m sorry for coming here intoxicated and upset, I made a mistake, I hope you all forgive me and allow me to be a part of the board with no more diagnoses.

You all are great people, until I met the few that mock cancer. Don’t do that, please.

I can take the heat personally, and I do. But watching me do my exercises, even my BF was like that’s way too much.

I’m doing the best I can with what I have and what my body is giving me. I made a poor choice and said words that I regret.

Either respect the apology or walk away. I’m okay with either, but thanks for being a great friend.

Maybe time for some rest. We can all get worked up on here from time to time, so no worries. Hoping you can get your health back.

Thank you UGA brother! Means a lot. Just gotta get through this first infusion tomorrow. I believe in God and his healing powers and TD for keeping me smiling through the pain. But thank you.

I truly love all of you. I wanted to say that incase I never come back.

Thanks for opening my eyes to things, thanks for teaching me histories of other schools, and thanks for the prayers.

People will make fun, but I know I’ve got people in my corner. Thank you UGA Alum, for being a kind person to a stranger. Wishing the best for you, your family, and rhe UGA program. Y’all are good people

That’s the goal, brother. 8 weeks of the “red bag of poison” is what I’ve got to get through. It’s baseball season so that is what I’m trying to keep my focus on. Thank you. The day I ring that bell will be the best day of my life!! Appreciate you so much!! Blessings for you and your family. Much love!

Praying for a full recovery and for God to take away any anxiety and doubt you may have.

If you can, watch the following YouTube link of Billy Graham.

Hint... The great philosopher Immanuel Kant stated:

"You are not rich by what you own but what he can do without"

I suspect you are rich in many ways, even now. May God bless you and your family.

My God, I needed this. Thank you so much. Mine has spread to lungs and breast from a damn mole on my neck. It’s just so surprising when it comes and then they do a pet scan and it lights up like a Christmas tree. I will pray for your wife and that God gives me the strength like her to FIGHT LIKE HELL. I’m not giving up. I’m too young, I just feel like a failure bc my body has given up on me.

Thank you TideFan, yu and your wife are in my prayers.

NEGU.

Never. Ever. Give. Up.

Godspeed!

Do not think like that. You are not a failure. If you think your body has given up on you remember, YOU ARE ALIVE and it is KEEPING YOU ALIVE.

When you see that red bag, do not think of it like anything but a RED BAG OF COURAGE. My wife just would think about it like a simple blood test or a routine doctor's visit.

You can do this, focus on the happy moments of your time right now. Focus on your family, friends, shoot even your co-workers. They are all pulling for you and know that you will recover.

Make long term plans so you can see the end of the tunnel.

You are in my wife and my prayers.

Things can turn out OK.

On Dec 13, I went to the emergency room thinking I might have covid, turns out it was lung cancer, when I got home had a call from my dermatologist telling me an earlier biopsy detected a melanoma on my skull. Two more cancers in one day.

I got some CAT and PET scans the next week and it seems my chemo for CL Leukemia had blown out my immune system and I had masses of melanoma in brain, lungs, skull, femur, stomach and spleen that came on rapidly. Sort of a pisser. Also beat prostate cancer a few years ago. I think I can wear 8 different cancer ribbons!

Started my first monthly infusion in January and got rescanned two months later, turns out I had minimal progress of new cancer anywhere and many melanoma had shrunk 30 to 50%! Get my fourth infusion next week and I am feeling great this stuff seems to be working well. Been off the Leukemia chemo for 4 months and my blood work is showing no sign of deterioration. Don't know how it will turn out I could be in for a big let down at next scanning. But modern medicine is making progress.

I'm 75 about to turn 76 so this is not a big deal, I'm pretty ambivalent really when I think of all the cases of pediatric cancer and other more tragic events affecting the more deserving.

Hope your infusions work well. Something is going to get all of us.

Stay strong and beat this. Will pray for you. You are going through hell and need no forgiveness. There are more important things than sports.

Just do understand that cancer is a very individual disease, it affects everyone differently. Just because you have the "C" word does not mean you have no hope. But if you give up & get lost in self pity, you most certainly lose. Fight this shite with every ounce of your physical body & when that weakens, be strong mentally. Use your inner circle, too, let them help. This approach worked for me & I am going on 5+ years post diagnosis. Stay strong!
