I am wondering why is this so? Maybe the line will changed to South Carolina by the time the game starts on Saturday.
Anyone know who is the HC of E. Carolina? Maybe he is a well known HC? I am puzzled why E. Carolina is favored right now.
I know many do not think the same thing is said about Ed Orgeron.
Also I have this expert making the grade for the first week for all new HCs. Beamer got an A-. So I am shocked that E. Carolina must have a better HC and better roster? Why is E. Carolina being favored? Doesn't add up unless it is due to experience as a HC? Help me out please. I am dumbfounded about E. Carolina loss to Appalachian State. That is not good to give E. Carolina to be favored over South Carolina! Wow!

I saw this and seriously considering taking SC outright. ECU lost 33-19 to App State. Before garbage time, App State was up 33-9 (4Q 12:19). I don't think App State is that much better than South Carolina (SC could make it competitive, but would probably lose) and ECU defense does not look good at all

Head Coach at ECU is Mike Houston- came from James Madison. ECU record is 7-15

Then why was E. Carolina favored? Doesn't make any sense!

I do not gamble. Just wanted to see what Las Vegas and others thought about setting the point spread for each games. I am trying to understand this one. Maybe a trap game? Like a let down after first win as HC?

They are the pirates. It's only logical that is where Leach goes after he is done at State.

I'm staying away from this game. Even though I think USCjr will win. But the experts have E Carolina with a 63% chance to win. Something don't sound right.

Here is an interesting item.
the total hit the over in S Carolina's last six away games. and ECU has hit the over in 11 of last 16 games. Total was 55 early but think it has dropped.

I think I would take the over.

Two powerhouse teams. Good players on both sides. Look at recruiting for E. Carolina and South Carolina. That is where people should be looking at if picking which side has better chance to win.

Mike Houston is a better coach than Scottie Montgomery, but he’s still got some talent issues leftover vet from Montgomery.

Remember, G Minshew was at ecu before he transferred.

Mike Houston was at the Citadel before that. He was El Cid's coach in 2015 when they beat South Carolina in Columbia...

App State would be favored by around 10 at home against SC.

The game in question is at ECU. Not surprised by the line at all.

It's also worth mentioning that Luke Doty and Kevin Harris should both be back this week.

The money bet is what moves the line. They had to make sure the money was being spread evenly across the board. That's how it works. The money was heavy on ECU at +2 at home...therefore...ECU went to -4 at one time. It's seems to have settled at ECU -2....

Most folks view the last game as a bit misleading. E Illinois is a terrible Ohio valley school.

South Carolina still has more questions than answers. The line on draft kings has SC-1.5 now up from a pickem.

I think this is exactly right. E. Illinois is a team that any bad SEC team should beat by 35+, period. Which made me happy, because South Carolina rarely EVER beats teams they should beat by that margin.

My problem with this team is that it is still untested. Our receivers couldn't catch a cold much less a football. All those dropped passes against E. Illinois was gross, to say the least.

But, our Defense looked solid enough, not for a solid SEC game, but it was good enough to keep the team in the game. Our running game looks good too. But the QB play is what is suspect here, no one knows what Doty will do, so Vegas has to be playing this one safe, close to the vest. Spread makes sense to me.
