My point is that AD's make bad decisions all the time. Blindly trusting that because they have shut down Leach they are looking at better candidates is silly.

You don't take historically bad programs and have the success that he's had for nearly 20 years on gimmicks. Mike Leach was 84-43 at Texas Tech in his 10 years there. The 10 years prior to his tenure TT went 62-53. The 9 years after his tenure TT went 56-57 He's been at WSU for 7 years and has gone 49-40. The 7 years prior to his tenure WSU went 24-60.

If Arky fans want to go back to the days of having a great offensive coach who knows jack shite about defense, Leach is a huge upgrade over Petrino.

Leach is a awesome character and a great offensive teacher. For a program having trouble getting recruits and forming a positive identity he's an awesome choice.
And he's a proven winner.

Arky is a their 2 or 3 program, I don't give a shite what their AD thinks. You go get the proven winner that has one in big conferences at places similar to yours.

If they go another direction than those listed, they care more about things other than winning or it says they couldn't get any of the above.

If the Arkansas AD was smart he would offer the job to Art Briles and hire Kendall as OC/ Head Coach in Waiting.

Mike Leach is a terrible plan and wouldn't bring any stability or a true winning culture to Arkansas. Of course on the other hand, neither is anyone else.
