The best part is Saban had a better win % against Alabama when he was at LSU than the other way around. 58-50 without Saban the last 25 years.

Are you drunk or something?

Did you know if you took away all of Alabama's wins in history, LSU is undefeated against Alabama?

He also went 4-1 against yall at LSU.

Cool, let's go over them.

In 2000, he beat a 3-8 Alabama team by 2 points - Alabama fired the coach.
In 2001, he beat a 7-5 Alabama team by 14 points.
In 2002, he lost to 10-3 Alabama team by 31 points in a shut out. The most dominating loss in Saban's career. Alabama coach left at the end of the season, we end up having to hire Shula in April.
In 2003, he beat a 4-9 Alabama team by 24 points.
In 2004, he beat a 6-6 Alabama team by 16 points.

So yeah, he beat the worst Alabama teams since the 1950s, and lost the one year they were pretty good. You gotta go back to 1957 to find a team as bad as some of those, with a coach by the name of Ears - without a doubt the worst coach in Alabama history.

It's not a matter of LSU is so good, you're just looking for times when Alabama isn't/wasn't. Because the NCAA isn't slapping us with sanctions and we aren't having to hire people who never coached before.

How do you figure?

This time last year our recruiting class looked worse than it does this year.

IF he can’t win at a clip that they demand, KD will be fired.

Football is paramount at most SEC schools.

I’m not sure they will “expect” Saban results, but they will expect a consistent top 10 presence and most years to either be in playoffs or the playoff conversation.

I don’t think they can him. CKD has won everywhere he’s been so I would not bet against him being able to win at Alabama.

Mike Dubose won an SEC title at Alabama. Mike Shula won 10 games.
Either of those results gets you in playoffs.

We didn't expect Saban results when Saban was hired either. I was mostly at the point where as long as we didn't get into trouble with the NCAA I was happy. The shite was very rough in the early 2000s.

When he was hired, I remember thinking - I hope he gets a good OL coach. No way in hell anyone expected him to do what he did.

Saban was not the GOAT when Alabama hired him. He was a good coach with the NC at LSU and showed an ability to build up programs. But he hadn't fully developed things before then.

People expected Bear like results after Bear retired though. And there was always people talking about what Bear would have done, and the need for the coach to be tied to Bear etc. It doesn't seem to me like that's happened thus far for most people. If DeBoer doesn't have much success and leaves/gets fired, it may heat up. I sure as frick hope not though.

There seems to be a post like this every few weeks. I just don't understand the point. Bama had, by 99% of CFB standards, a great year with multiple strong wins in spite of the frustrating losses. Their decline has been very small so far.

Are they Saban level?? Maybe not anymore (who is?). But damn, can't you type out a rough draft, keep it to yourself, then SAVE IT for when they finally have a 7-5 type season.

The funeral we went to last season was Uga. It seems to be an annual event around here. Now don't try to "deny" it.

They act like the sky isn’t falling! They hired a poor man’s Urban Meyer! If it weren’t for the talent that Saban accumulated they would have been a 5 win team this past year. Always remember this, Miles went 10-2 with Saban recruits. What was Alabama record this year? After all, Les took over a 8-5 team. “Poor man’s Urban” took over a playoff team who hadn’t won less than10 games in a season for over a decade! Good luck to your Gumps. Short of getting lucky with Bear and Saban y’all are pedestrian. Louisiana > than Alabama! LSU baseball is > than Bama football. We’re still relevant ater the last 35 years. Y’all aren’t!

You're wrong. Organized college football has been played for a very short amount of time in comparison to earth's history. To attempt to use a cognitive distortion such as this is ridiculous for a number of reasons. For you to be so arrogant as to assume that the way in which the earth functions at this current time is representative of the future is absolutely disgusting and you should be banned from this board.
