My wife is extremely athletic (she still holds the all-sports record for most state championships at our high school years after we graduated. And several individual track records)
Anyway, first time we saw the commercial I started to ask her:
"So does that..."
"No. I'm sick of being patronized."
Dicks is doing the classic corporate mistake of courting people who won't buy their product while alienating people who will.

I stopped shopping there after the anti-2A attitude they adopted after Newtown.
If I was a stock holder, I'd be absolutely pissed that they just destroyed their black rifle inventory instead of just selling it off for what they paid for it or a slight profit.

You guys know that instead of giving the weapons to police depts or selling them for cheap they destroyed them?

Any of you guys ever bought a gun from Dick's before they stopped selling them?

I didn't know that. But seeing that commercial, I can certainly believe it.

At least the commercials seem to be supporting real women not fake ones.

I haven't been to one since they stopped selling guns to 18 year olds.

I texted a buddy to see if he thought it was a good price (it was decent since they were having a sale) and he told me a local gun store not too far away was having a Remington sale and to go there instead.
Really glad I did in retrospect.

I don't buy firearms from stores like that.
I also do my best not to shop in stores that hate me and my freedoms.

I've gotten all mine from Hoover Tactical. Not because of any loyalty or anything but they always have had the best gun for the best price when I've been looking for one.

You must be a neighbor of mine.
I fish a lot. A trip to Dick’s for anything is a wasted trip. They never have anything.

Does anyone have a link to the commercial? I didn't see it.

I shoot guns and have shot tons of rounds of ammo. So I know what I'm looking for. You can get a quality gun from Academy, etc but I wouldn't go there looking for expert advice. They do have some real good deals on guns though.

I try to buy firearms from local gun stores. They can always answer your questions with better advice about the products, in my area they usually have better quality ammo, and you are supporting a local business.
I did buy my wife a little 9mm from Academy last year that was on sale and in stock when you couldn’t find them anywhere. Good store and the guys seemed to know what they were talking about. I also picked up some tailgate tents that were on sale for $40 a pop. Decent for the price and they seem sturdier than I figured they would be.
Sportsman Warehouse has good stuff too. I usually get bulk ammo from there.

You triggered literally every fäggot leftist transplant that wormed their way into the south and every piece of shite generational democrat descendent of slave owners.

I try to go there for gun sales and they're always out of the guns that were on sale by the time I get there.
