I want to visit places of interest to the Civil Rights Movement and the Civil War. I also love old Blues and Country Music.
Another thing on my bucket trip is to visit Tuscaloosa to check out everything football-related.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm a fan of Kennesaw Mountain and Cyclorama.
There may be better spots to visit, but those are 2 that I personally really enjoy.

If you are interested in cool Civil War sites, you should visit Shiloh.

Vicksburg Park and Museum
Jackson has a Civil Rights museum but dont know anyone thats ever been.
Medgar Evers home and museum in Jackson as well.
sounds like a boring-arse trip.

If you're interested in the Civil Rights movement, go to the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta. It's near the aquarium, World of Coke, and the College Football Hall of Fame.
The National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis is pretty awesome. It's at the Lorraine Motel where MLK was shot.
For the Civil War go to Gettysburg.

Look up the blues festival in Baton Rouge. Obviously a lot to do down the road in Nola too.

Fort Sumter. Where the Civil War started. Then plenty to see and do in Charleston.

Visit Orange Beach or Gulf Shores and enjoy a leisurely swim during a riptide. Just ignore the red flags, enjoy!

Regardless of who you root for it’s well worth seeing.

You are not wanted or allowed in the south, especially Kentucky. You can go to Mason Ohio if you want.
