I'm compiling receipts in case LSU manages to somehow win with a QB that can't throw

And a defensive coordinator who can't stop mobile quarterbacks.
Is there a single Ole Miss fan here who hasn't previously guaranteed a win this weekend? Speak now or forever hold your peace.

There will be a lot of deflection attempts, but I just want to make sure all Ole Miss fans aren't guilty of guaranteeing a victory.
There was a lot of emotional ranting in December and January.

I talked a lot of shite before this game last year and we lost. I'm staying mostly quiet on this one but if we win, I'll for sure be louder

My brother in Christ, you cannot worry with such things.
Say as much as you want.
As loud as you want.

None of the legit ole miss fans have said LSU will definitely lose. I just pointed out that Leavitt is an average QB at best, and I expect Ole Miss to score at least as many points as they did last year.
Best guess? LSU wins by 4. Something like 31-27. But wouldn’t be shocked by anything from 7 point ole miss win to 14 point LSU win. The difference between those is 2-3 plays.
So screenshot this for your receipts.

Calm down, you thought Clemson was going to actually win.

Just to be clear, I do not guarantee a LSU victory. I want LSU to win, i think LSU could win, but as of now I'm going 50/50 toss up

Add these.

Kelly has a winning record vs Lane at both LSU and Notre Dame.
He also has a better overall winning percentage and a better winning percentage at current job.

Brian Kelly
Win Percentage Central Michigan .543
Cincinnati .850
Notre Dame .739
LSU .725 Total - .728
Lane Kiffin Win Percentage
Tennessee .538
USC .651
FAU .675
Ole Miss .710 Total - .671
Kelly is also 4-2 vs Kiffin 2-1 at Notre Dame vs USC 2-1 at LSU vs Ole Miss So by the actual metrics, Kelly is better than Kiffin. Saying they're equalish is just my opinion based on talent levels, etc.

Heupel probably belongs ahead of him, just based on overall win percentage.

That wasn't technically a rule change, it was basically just a warning memo from Sankey. It could also be argued that it was directed in large part toward Kiffin, hence the decrease in your fake injuries.

Meh, he's .600 at Mizzou. Sure he has less talent but he also plays a relatively weak schedule every year. I wouldn't trade Kelly for either Kiffin or Drink.

Kiffin has a worse win percentage and a head to head losing record to Kelly. Pretty hard to make the case that he is a better coach.

I'm getting the same vibe from the LSU/OM game that I did last night before the Chiefs/Donkeys played.
Most people were guarded in their comments - Does Denver still have the best defense in the NFL? Can Bo Nix get back to form against a reeling Chiefs team? Can Mahomes really do anything on his rebuilt leg that doesn't require crutches? Is Walker going to be another bust at RB for the Chiefs?" And, the best one was "How many times is Bennito going to clown rookie UDFA LT Benson and put Mahomes on his arse?"
So many hedging their bets. As a Chiefs fan, I was optimistic but seriously worried about Mahomes and Co. starting out the season against Denver - especially since he hadn't played a single down in the pre-season.
But Big Mo is pretty much unbeaten, and when Delane picked off Nix during Denver's first possession you could feel the air start to leak out of Denver's offense. By the middle of the third quarter they'd basically given up the game.
That's how I feel the LSU/OM game will go - whomever can come out and establish some momentum from the opening bell will likely have the advantage throughout the game. Other than that, the two teams are roughly equal on paper (neither has been really tested), and both have some diamonds to lean on and some warts to deal with.
I'm looking forward to a good game that ends with LSU leaving with the W - hopefully without Kiffin getting rushed to the ER for head injuries from thrown batteries and golfballs.

The melt when Chambliss gets run down and sacked for the first time. Will be awesome.

Dixie.Reb is one Ole Miss fan who did not guarantee a win.
