I'd pull for Valdosta State since I would have probably ended up going to school there. I wanted to get away from BFE northwest GA and Valdosta is very close to Florida. Out of state tuition wasn't in the cards for me.
I know most Texas fans have never set foot into a college classroom, but I'd hope if Texas didn't exist, they'd pull for Angelo State or UNT or whatever college they had some tie to.

I’d probably go with LSU because of the proximity. But I also like UGA and South Carolina.

LSU, because they’ve always felt like the inverse of us.
If we’re talking in-state, I’d go with USF as UCF’s 2017 ‘fake natty’ would be too cringe for me, I wouldn’t relate to Miami’s rich New Jersey transplants, and I’d hate the trashiness of FSU fans.
