Feel better?

I don't think anyone, even the hardcore UGA fans, really think Kirby has "replaced" Saban -- that bar has been set incredibly and probably insurmountably high.

Stop being so insecure, Saban's legacy will be safe for a very long time.

Had UGA actually won Kirby would have 'gotten lucky'.

Lose/Lose for UGA fans as far as Bama goes.

Kirby is in great position at UGA. He will not have to work as hard to get great talent at Athens as Nick does at Bama. We'll see how well Kirby can manage a program not that they are near the top. Entitlement might be just as hard to manage as having less talent. We'll see.

Is this yet another alter claiming to be a Bama fan to troll UGA fans?

Literally nobody thinks Kirby is "replacing" saban, or will ever have the accolades and resume that saban has. Nobody.

Kirby was outcoached in the NCG by a million miles

I will strongly disagree here, and I'm sure it'll get called sour grapes but oh well. It's laughable to me that people think the genius saban was playing 4D chess and coached circles around us in teh NCG. The fact is that he was flat out desperate and down to the last bullet in his gun and literally had no other choice than to put in all the freshmen...and it worked. It was the last act of a desperate man and it paid off enormously but it's not like it was some superior coaching move, it was literally the ONLY move he possibly had and if he didn't go it they would've gotten pantsed.

now he has to win National Championships with them. He won't.

there's simply no way to know that but ok.

Nick Saban is a genius. Kirby is just a football coach.

This seems such an odd thing for a bama fan to be riled up about. Once again, nobody thinks kirby is the "next saban". There is only one saban, period, and we all know it. Not sure why your panties are in such a tizzy.

You're completely right, except for one thing. Geniuses don't become football coaches.

Tom Osborne was a football coach...and a good one to boot..

Yep. Don't y'all get all bent out of shape at Alabama folks...for the most part, we only pick at those that start it.

The Bama talent advantage over uga is shrinking year by year. That was ultimately the difference last year.

You can keep saying this all you want it won't make it True. You had a Senior laden team and lost to a bunch of True Freshman. Coaching lost you that game. Not talent.

Anyone who beats Saban is not "lucky." Just like when LSU beat Bama 9-6...people said LSU was lucky Bama missed those field goals. I see it as LSU performed just enough to win in other facets of the game.

I don't think anyone who is being serious is discrediting UGA and Smart and what they did this past year, but Smart has a long, long way to go before being considered the next Saban. That doesn't make last year any less impressive for UGA.

Did he make the move to Tua, sure but Tua won the NCG. If he would have failed so would have Saban in that game.

I dont' even know why I ever respond to you since you are clearly a troll that does nothing but flame UGA for some reason, but..

Sorry but if you don't think talent had a major major role in that loss then you're even dumber than I thought. Our starting C is a converted DL and 2 other OL were freshmen. You don't do that if you have adequate enough talent on the roster (which we didn't, but we're getting there). One of our starting DBs didn't even have a recruiting ranking and is a converted walk-on. One starting safety was a 3*, the other transferred from tulsa.

Let me ask you this, how many of our starting 22 would start at Bama over their counterpart? Answer that question and then tell me talent didn't have something to do with the loss.

In fact, when you look at the black and white talent it's actually a testament to how well we DID coach.

I seriously doubt anyone will ever say "Last weekend I bumped into Nick Saban at my Mensa convention"
