There's sadness here, but it doesn't seem to be from the Alabama gang.

Thanks for the extra week off, probably wouldn't have been healed up enough to beat Georgia in the SECCG this year without it.

What's funny about this, and I don't think it's been mentioned, is that our team Alabama won the National Championship

Our terrible baseball team swept Auburn and our basketball team just ended Auburn's longest winning streak since 1999.

The football took a loss and went on to win a national title.

26-14 < 76-71: specifically because, no matter the result of the scheduled NCAA MB regular mulligan game later in the season, it won't result in a third CFB championship, let alone a 17th.

The result of the CFB NCG and the SEC CG were indicators of what a neutral site Iron Bowl without an injury ridden UA defense would have rought.

While that is admittedly a Type II error, don't care. UA is a football school.

My whole life, I’ve heard people ask the question “Would you take a National Championship if it meant losing to Auburn?”

I can now answer that and I have zero problem with it. In fact, I think 26-14 helped us in the long run. So thanks Auburn!

I find pleasure in knowing Bama cost Auburn the Sec Championship and a chance at the playoffs no running game.
