I don’t see the answer being anybody but Sir Charles.
Bo would be horrible to throw’em back with because he wouldn’t want to talk sports. Now, around a camp fire talking hunting Bo is the only answer.

I was lucky enough to get to talk to Arnie several times starting around ‘98. He was a very humble man and enjoyed a good conversation.

I want to say Ty Cobb because I use to visit his museum.
Reggie White didn’t do bars.
Doug Atkins. Final answer.

Man, that's a good one. Just imagine if he opened up about "bending the rules" in the Nascar glory days
I was a Sr. fan, and a bit of a Jr. fan (he wasn't my #1 driver though.) But listening to Jr's podcast it seems like the old man had a ton of down to earth wisdom about life. The man had nothing and worked to become a multimillionaire.

My dad went to a bunch of coaching clinics with Bear Bryant , said he would smoke a pack of filter less pall malls and drink a fifth of johnnie walker red . Sounds like a hoot ...

So many but I'd go with two as a starter:
Pistol Pete Maravich & one of the all-time
greats who passed away early this year,
Hank Aaron.

Ty Cobb didn't suffer fools, but there was also a good bit of old school, Southern Gentleman in him.
He got a very bad rap stemming in large part from a long ago hatchet job book about him.
The 2018 "The Life and Times of Ty Cobb" book by Norm Coleman was a much more fair portrayal of the Georgia Peach.
