NC State cares about football, UNC does not.

I would like West Virginia and Virginia Tech. The SEC is a way better geographical fit for WVU than the Big 12. Oklahoma is way too big of pussies to come to the rugged SEC so that's not gonna happen.

Yes I have been to Iowa City many many times. Have you? It's a wonderful town. Bestcollegereviews.org ranks Iowa City the #9 college town in America ahead of every single SEC town on the list.

The Princeton Review ranked Iowa #2 party school for 2015. Iowa was #1 party school for 2014 and has been top 5 every year since 2011

Not a good idea to add any school from North Carolina or Virginia. All former Confederate states are represented in the SEC already except those two. Let's not make it look like we're trying to revive the old Stars and Bars now, shall we?

Still has no input on how a founding member leaving would help the SEC. Your answer just explains what Texas would do for the SEC. Yeah, I had a feeling you werent going to come up with anything relevant.

Even this isnt informative to what Texas would do for the SEC.

If the SEC expanded it will be Va/VaTech and NC State.

Wrong. Texas will never be let into the SEC. Not enough schools would approve. A&M, Arkansas, and Mizzou sure as hell wont. LSU wont want another Texas school recruiting. And Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina wouldn't because of their agreement about in state competition. Texas in, and A&M pushes for FSU, Clem, or GTech.

My left and right nut. They would need to be in the same division though.

Neither do but, as much as I hate to say it, Tarholes over Wolfies for caring about FB. Neither, I repeat, neither would work or be a good fit. The only thing being posted more ridiculously is Duke. Club sport private school.

West Coast Ag,

LSU would certainly add quite a bit to the dying Big XII... but Texas would add NOTHING but acrimony to the already peak value SEC.

LSU would make the Big 12 more valuable with the TV contracts, while Texas adds zero to the current SEC footprint.

uTx is also no longer the "most valuable" program, either. They are still the highest grossing (for now) but due to the weakness of the conference after Nebraska, Texas A&M, Mizzou and CU left their season ticket sales are way way down, their glorified closed circuit tv "network" is hemorrhaging cash and totally unwatchable, their players and coaches suck, they're sub .500 and two million in the red.

Plus Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina and probably LSU would never vote them in.

LSU is sitting pretty. uTx is circling the drain.

Tulane (we need a school from Louisiana and LSU's insolvency is a real concern) and Belmont (their close relationship with Vanderbilt would be a boon to our research money).
