If UW’s coach can leave the team, why can’t the QB?

Depends on what’s in the contract, whether there is a penalty to do so

Depends on the nature of the contract. Some contracts have non-compete agreements in it.

It only cost LSU $140 million to get Kiffin to leave Ole Miss and head to LSU.

There’s absolutely no question he can leave. It boils down to monetary damages, which I think would be hard for UW to prove.

I mean all of this bullshite is just dancing around the truth. NIL is absolutely, undeniably pay to play. Dress it up and call it whatever you want it’s still the same animal.

There needs to be a legislative fix to this. It has to be figured out because the current system is untenable. It might be painful for a while, but it will get fixed. Much too much money involved. Nobody’s gonna let the golden goose of CFB die!

Make him earn his pay by signing autographs every Saturday afternoon in October and November outside Husky Stadium.

There's a very good reason why Space Force never considered LA for it's HQ.....

Now if the job required a bowl cut and catching an alligator, or speaking guttural French and cooking roadkill, no doubt they would be the center of that universe. For goodness sake, they thought Brian Kelly was the 2nd coming with his fake accent and now are ready to lick Kiffin's arse.

No can do. Enforcement of specific performance in personal service contracts is not possible. You simply cannot MAKE someone work for you.

Correct. Louisiana is the third poorest state in the country. Everyone can see you are not good with money.

Suing for specific performance in a personal services contract is not the wisest approach.

These contracts need to have the same buyouts as coaches. I'm paying for your Name/Image/Likeness. I'm using that motherfricker as long as I have you under contract. I'm going to flood the market to make sure nobody else wants to give you any endorsement. They also really need to stop assholes like Kiffen from tampering with players. He's a slime, very good at it, and won't stop until he's punished.

It could be fixed tomorrow but greed won’t allow it. All schools just stop paying. Tell players you have a scholarship….you are on your own with NIL….we will have nothing to do with it. We aren’t selling jerseys with your name on it. We will not make money off your name image or likeness. You are a student athlete with a scholarship and are expected meet minimum academic standards in order to keep
That scholarship. Obviously would never happen because as I said before….schools are greedy and would never all agree. But they could.

Depends on the contract or agreement. The paperwork has the terms and conditions and is signed by the participants.
