You don't understand the logic behind our posts because you are genetically inferior. You are mentally incapable of understanding. That's okay. It's not your fault. Georgia has never had a great coach. We may have one now. If Kirby is great, we will win multiple national and SEC championships. That is what we are capable of.

Put Nick Saban at Mississippi State and he would be unable to win a national championship. Why? Mississippi State is not capable of that.

We have a tremendous amount of talent within a two mile radius of our campus. Only South Florida, Southern California, and East Texas have similar talent to what we have in our own backyard. If we keep that talent home, and Kirby is able to develop it, the sky is the limit.

Still waiting on the "next Herschel" all these years later

Georgia has shown for almost 4 decades what their ceiling is. Miami and FSU were able to do it over and over. Georgia can't and won't. 2017 was literally a once in a lifetime/generation season for you. It isn't going to happen again anytime soon. It is extremely difficult to continually make the playoffs. Kirby isn't even Gene Chizik or Larry Coker yet. Print those shirts though

Uh, okay I guess? 2002 was no different than this year other than the playoff not existing. 2012 was a play away from a Natty. 2007 didn't have an SEC Championship but UGA would have been a playoff team (and maybe the favorite to win it all).

Their runs had to start somewhere. Before Schnellenberger and Bowden, they were what Georgia is now. Underachieving programs capable of so much more than what they've done.

Eh, Clarke Central, Athens Christian and Athens Academy kind of suck.

Recruiting has never been Georgia's problem. You are not a championship program. Plain and simple. Telling me Kirby is going to "keep players home" when you have been doing that forever. Nobody has been raiding Georgia of players. That is a myth that was debunked in another thread. You have been getting 98% of the instate kids you want.

Correct. Your run could have started 38 years ago. It didn't. Which, has been my point that I keep being told is wrong

That's the thing, though -- Georgia fans are full on drinking the Kirby Koolaid. They act like their program was in the death throes and Kirby came in and saved it from the brink of the abyss.

The reality is, Richt had 11 nine+ win seasons. He never finished worse than 3rd in the East. He averaged a top ten class over like 15 goddamn years. Georgia wasn't in a place of dire need, and Kirby literally just stumbled into a good thing. Now we're supposed to crown him for taking over a great job that's averaged 9 wins a season since 2002 while their ex-HC recruited top ten classes for 15 years?

Sorry, jury's still out.

The jury is definitely still out. Until they win a natty, all of this hype is great and all, but if it doesn't translate onto the field in national titles, what's really changed?

I didn't apply, having a completed application sent to me from UGA unsolicited told me all I needed to know. Nice try nuttsack you really don't know shite. Funny, I know several people who went to Tulane and none of them are pompous cocks like you...leads me to call bullshite on your Tulane fairytale, which also makes your UGA grad school story likely garbage too douchebag

Mullen has only had one 10 win season. No division championships, no SEC championships, no major bowl wins. Good luck with that.

Kirby was able to win the Rose Bowl to get us to the natty. Mark Richt never would have won that game. He was notorious for choking in big games.
Yet on the biggest stage of all Kirby let that game slide down his throat like a chilled oyster off a half shell.

Nick Saban lost to Urban Meyer in 2008. That was Saban's second year at Alabama. In that game Saban choked. You Alabama people make the dumbest arguments. I blame the Alabama public school system.

You just said the state with the 6th most NFL players and 2nd most NFL players per capita had, quote, "worthless" high school football.

Hell of a glass house you are living in Greenie.

How good we were in 2017 was different from how good we were in 2002 and 2007, which was no lock for the playoff.

Don't think Mark Richt underachieved? He lost to a 7-5 Florida team in 2014. Todd Gurley was on that team. Because he lost to Florida, a Missouri team that we absolutely stomped earlier in the season went on to win the SEC East that year. Typical Mark Richt. In 2002 he lost to a Ron Zook coached Florida team which cost us a shot at the BCS national championship game. In 2008, he had so much NFL talent on his team it was ridiculous. Still managed to get blown out by Bama and Florida and even lost to Georgia Tech. Mark Richt was a scrub.
