It's pretty depressing. Even Charleston is pretty lame.

Although one time I was working in Ashland, Ky (dry county iirc) and West Virginia saved me from sobriety.

Charleston is one of the most depressing cities you could ever go through. So glad my parents moved me out of that shithole at 3 years old. Especially seeing what my cousins who grew up there are like now.

Missouri is nothing like Kansas. If you think so, then the north is like the south to you too.

I would say some of you people have not spent much time in Missouri or West Virginia. West Virginia desperately wanted in the SEC when the expansion bug was going around. The SEC never seriously considered them. I wanted Missouri in the conference rather than WV. WV is now the big 12's problem.

The SEC should add West Virginia and NC State and move Mizzou to the West.

Then things would make more sense.

If by culturally more like Ten and UK you mean “White trashy” then I’ll concede that point.

If they fabricated completely untrue stories about KKK on campus and shitstikas and their board completely unjustly fired their president and caved to the pressure of sky screaming SJW cucks who have been told for no reason that they are victims of the oppressive patriarchy then yeah, prolly...

I wanted Oklahoma or even Oklahoma state over both of them

I've been to WV several times, in every season. I didn't linger a lot, so I don't have much of an opinion, and the capital even looks white trash from the freeway, but the rest of the state is quite beautiful.

The Capitol Building is an odd comment.. It is considered as one of the most beautiful in the Country.... WV is a truly odd State culturally. The Eastern Panhandle is more like Maryland and Virginia. The Northern Panhandle is more Ohio-Pennsylvania. The Southern Coalfields are what I would term Hillbilly-Martian.... really different....most areas of the State are very conservative and the cities are much more liberal and drug and crime infested...
I do feel like Missouri, Texas, Alabama, etc. that there are a lot more decent and hard working people than in a lot of States.
Stereotypes are just perceptions and they are not rooted in reality..for most people.
Although the drug problem is a reality here as well as everywhere else in America...
