Maybe, do they beat OU, Vandy, atm, UGA, Ohio state, and get up for the rest of the AEC?

Maybe, and if the cfp committee wasn’t idiots or had rules prohibiting them from putting in the right teams we may have seen Texas v tech. Instead you had unworthy teams sneak in. JMU played 1 top 50 team and lost, the rest of their schedule was atrocious.

Tech is no doubt a good team this year but we really don’t know since they lost against ASU and haven’t been tested

In all honesty, that is probably the reason Muschamp is wearing burnt orange again.

You have to crown them Texas state champs. Outside of 4 point loss to Arizona St, they have been dominant. The defense is outstanding.

If they secure that W, all other Texas schools need to pay tribute.

I thought Florida was the champion of the state of Texas.

We decline.

Even thought we destroyed Arch and Sark, the next week was an arse whooping by Aggie.

Not to mention the other 8 losses Florida suffered.

Even thought we could make a claim, anyone who lost to the 2025 Gators are scrubs and should feel ashamed.

Nope. The two fastest teams left, I think. This game will also be a must watch.

ESPN is dick-riding MIami for whatever reason - but these two teams are a match-up problem. If you have the beef, like Georgia, you have to be willing to dumb it down and just play five yards and a cloud of dust. Most OCs hate that.

Now, how do you pay football when you've got wide line splits and risk taking play callers ? We'll find out.

Isn’t Tech the team with the 38 year old LB with the stache.

I am looking forward to it and given my total disdain for all things related to Duck U. I am all in on Tech.

Guns up!

I think Tech got screwed. Oregon getting a warmup game and the game being at Miami is straight up stupid.

Their SOS is the lowest of any CFP team by nearly 30 places and they have a loss. They may be very good but nobody knows because they have played a cupcake schedule and lost to a cupcake

I’m keeping myself quiet. It’s hard to with threads like these. SEC is such a funny bunch. Oregon on twitter is hilarious too. Let’s play the game and see what happens.

The game is going to be played. Texas Tech could be very good….outside the fan base no one has a clue because their schedule was unremarkable and very few people outside of Tech fans watched much if any of the games. They certainly haven’t been battle tested. I’m not throwing shade at Tech I’m merely pointing out that going 12-1 against that schedule ain’t comparable to doing so even with a Big10 Schedule.

This game is pick'em for a reason. TTU's defense seems pretty special.

Where I am wondering if they're inflated because of the schedule is at oline. They don't pass the eye test for me. I think the game comes down to Oregon's DL and vs Texas Tech's OL. Tech's qb isn't good under pressure and Oregon can force turnovers with pressure.

If that OL is really the 8th best pass blocking unit, they win.

If they had drawn the Rose Bowl they would have been screwed.

I think it is better for them than Oregon to play in the Orange.
