Considering the bar isn’t that high in MS, they would be the top dog, but I don’t think they would brag about it outside the state of MS.

Seriously, it's just ridiculous that OM thinks they are the top athletic school in the state. I realize facts get in the way but here is a history lesson they can't deny.

Sure, Ole Miss had the better football team many years ago and owned us because of it but lets take a closer look now.

In the last 25 years we are both around .500 vs each other in football despite Freeze and their cheating. Oh, we went to Atlanta, something else they've never done. We have been to a final-4 in mens hoops, something they have never sniffed.

We just played for a natty the last 2 years in womens hoops, something they never came close to sniffing one time. We played for a natty in 2013 in baseball, another sport they have never sniffed.

Their best baseball team is sitting home again while at least we made the CWS and also took 3 of 4 from them in the same sport this year.

I do realize many of you who pull for other teams don't care to keep up with what goes on in our state and this is what Ole Miss fans thrive on- false info.

I think I’ve got the right basketball record: 143-115 in favor of the Good Guys. I think the other “record” was actually our score from earlier this year??

those OM national championships you speak of were voted on by white citizens councils in Mississippi. they don't actually count.

I am all ears on how Ole Miss is considered the better overall program based on the past 30 years and not claimed championships prior to the widespread use of air conditioning and just after Alaska was admitted as a state.

You're acting like it's clear as day that State is better. It's not

It's not though Vec, not to most people outside of Landmass. A lot of normies can't distinguish between the two.

And it's not Ole Miss that has "This is Our State" billboards all over the place either.

You're correct, but I can't imagine arguing MSU vs OM anywhere outside of the state Who would care?

That's my point. This could elevate State and at least create a discussion, and Ole Miss would be "that other Miss school".

Who gave a shite about distinctions between Oregon and OSU before Nike went all in on the Ducks and they started playing in Rose Bowls?

It's just so much more fun to antagonize OM fans by dispelling their history.
