It’s certainly debatable. Which is the entire point of this thread. Neither one has ever won anything in a sport that people give a shite about. State winning the CWS would give them a huge edge in the discussion

I guess you are right. State is the better athletic dept and is the big bro out of the 2 programs. I'm not sure if anyone else agrees with you, but at least the state fans will. Who really cares though? It's the 2 worst athletic departments in the sec west and both are in the bottom 3rd of the conference as a whole. You are both like twins that were born only minutes apart in regards to who is the Lil or big bro. I would say ole miss is the big bro by a slight margin.

Football is king, and Ole Miss is clearly better.

2013 - MSU 24-17 (Only team Arkansas team to be winless in conference ever) won by a touchdown
2014 - MSU 17-10 (Only MSU team to ever be ranked #1 can only beat a 6-loss Arkansas team by a TD)
2015 - MSU 51-50 (MSU blocks field goal to win against an Arkansas team that lost to Toledo)
2016 - Arkansas WON convincingly
2017 - MSU 28-21 against the least talented Arkansas team we have put on the field in my lifetime

You sure do get defensive and pissed off easily for it being my opinion on the matter. You must know it's true also for my opinion to strike a nerve like it did. I said the 2 programs were fairly even, but ole miss is the big brother by a slight margin due to football. Im sure that the majority of people with an unbiased opinion would agree with my comments. Sorry you don't care for my opinion, but im flattered that you take it so seriously to let it drive you like it has. Just enjoy the cws while you can, bc I have a feeling that state won't last much longer in omaha. Congrats on getting there and not winning it...once again.

Overall going back to the 1890's, yes they are. Since Integration, it's about even. Since 1970(almost 50 years of half a century), Ole Miss has won a total of 11 more total games than State(285 to 274), has been to one more bowl game(19 to 18), and both have finished ranked 10 times each. State has an outright SEC West title during that period which Ole Miss does not. Yes, Ole Miss was better in the all white, leather helmet, no facemasks era. It is a good history which can't be taken away, but in the modern era(integration) it is even steven.
