USCe is a joke without Marcus Lattimore. Look at USC record in years without Latt.

Uhh..your "Georgia" is showing. You obviously do not follow football very closely. We won without Latt after his injury both this past season and the season before that. Y'all are just butthurt to a new level bc he ripped y'all a new arse every time he took the field against you. Deal with it. Y'all are now SCar's bitches. Woof woof woof, motherf*cker.

Spurrier will never win the SEC at Carolina. The question is moot.

Top 5:
1. Bear Bryant (ALA)
2. Nick Saban (LSU and ALA)
3. Johnny Vaught (Ole Miss)
4. Paul Dietzel (LSU)
5. Steve Spurrier (FLA and USC)
(potential....)
6. Les Miles (LSU)

General Neyland was 171-31-12 at UT. 7 years pre-SEC but 14 in SEC.
=============
Also 5 SEC and 2 Southern conference championships.

If one of Spurrier's teams ever got to the NC, I would expect nothing less than the SEC streak to be snapped.

What he did at Florida was impressive and, in some ways more impressive than Bryant.

No, no it's not, and it's not even close.

Spurrier had a better SEC winning percentage, had to deal with scholarship limitations and had to play 2 more SEC games plus an SECCG to win the SEC.

Please explain to the class why "its not even close."

Alabama and the Bear were the only ones with unlimited schollys.

14 SEC Titles > 4

6 NC > 1

Maintaining an unheard of level of success utilizing a variety of offensive and defensive schemes over three decades when the world of college football changed drastically > 11 years

So yeah, Spurrier's tenure at Florida is not even in the same realm as Bryant's at Alabama.

FIFY

Spurrier won 4 straight, 6 total (7 if you count '90)

Are we comparing best decades? If we are, I suggest you look at Bryant's record in the 70s.

That would be 8 SEC titles and 3 NCs.

I'm not disputing that Spurrier is a great coach, and perhaps if he would have stayed at Florida his tenure would compare with Bryant's at Alabama, but he didn't and it doesn't.
