We left a shitty conference for a MUCH better one...as did Nebraska, Colorado, and Mizzou.

Not sure what point you’re trying to make but it’s a shitty one.

So what exactly are the financial incentives for UT?They have.their own network and make more TV money than any school in their conference.

Why in the world would they want any type of revenue sharing deal with the SEC?

Survival and relevancy. Not going to be help them by going to PAC12 and the BIG12 will be eaten by someone in the near future.

What? They're making more money than any school in CFB

I'd they're "surviving" just fine plus they have a FAR easier to success in the big 12.

TLN payout is $12 to $14 million alone.SECN pays about $6 million per team.

Not one upside to making the move.

Right now, but the landscape of CF is going to change in the near future. Their own fans will demand relevancy and they really haven't had much until this year. OU has had to carry the banner for years, and if they fail on the big stage the BIG 12 will lose all of their clout. Join the SEC and the interest will be their and the TV demand will also.

Well, in her defense, she is Irons Puppet - unless it has Wal-mart, toilet paper or trailer parks in it she's probably confused.

That's make no sense. Nebraska was in the Big 1 1/2 which Texas already owned. It's got nothing to do with the SEC.

You don’t know your history. Nebraska was the Alabama of the early 90’s in the Big8. The BDF formed and Texas set sail to destroy them.

It worked.

Mandatory drug testing killed Nebraska's program! Once roids were banned, UN became irrelevant.

If they win the big 12 they'll be relevant and it's a much easier path.

UT will go independent before they join a conference where they aren't calling the shots

I don't think we have an "edge" to go over, but I would hope we would blackball Texas.

No way Georgia lets UT in the conference after what happened in the Sugar Bowl

Show us where the Texas touched you.

Seriously. You guys talk about Texas in a very hurt and violated demeanor.

It’s like you can’t even face them when you talk about them.......’course, you won’t play them either. Pussies.

Don’t worry. Daddy LSU will for you.

It killed the 70's and 80's Nebraska teams not the teams in the 90's.The big 12 voted to ban non qualifiers in the late 90's...that's what killed Nebraska along with losing their Texas footprint.

The funniest part about this is that Texas wouldn’t go directly at Alabama, it would destroy LSU first. Free up the recruiting in Louisiana and stop the competition for Texas kids.

Texas could money-whip LSU into oblivion.

It will never happen. Texas defers to nobody - in their minds nobody is on their level. If they aren’t running things, not worth it. Their “fans” can complain until hell freezes over, but the AD doesn’t care. As long as they are making money, the rest of the “conference” is immaterial

They will become completely independent first.

Being a native Texan and trying to remember all the details from many moons ago as an Auburn freshman... Texas & Texas ATM tried to leave the SWC for the SEC in the late '80s - early '90s, but the Texas state legislature stepped in and threatened to cut state funding. If I remember correctly, it was required that Baylor be part of any conference realignment with UT & ATM. Hence, the might Baylor Bears joined the Big 12. Meanwhile, Arkansas had already left for greener pastures in the SEC.
