Would A&M Fans pout to the point that they would want out of the SEC ? I think Arkansas fans would accept it, but it would push A&M over the edge.

Lol. You clearly don’t know what having Texas in a conference means if you think A&M would be the only one “pouting.”

“We told you so!”
“Birmingham wants UT and Bama in Atlanta!”

Blah fukin blah fukin blah.

OU can't join without OSU and UT will never have any interest in the SEC. That would completely contradict their paradigm.

It would mean the majority of the TV market in TX. It would add about $5M to each teams payout.

Yeah it’s not normal for Arkansas, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Mizzou and Colorado to all bail on a conference because of a single school. Zero chance that Arkansas voluntarily aligns themselves with Texas ever again.

Texas might be colossal dicks, and they are, but I've never seen Texas run away from their conference on their own and tell everybody else to go frick themselves. Even when they joined the BIG XII, they brought several SWC partners with them, of which, you were included. You were a founding member.

Know who I've seen run away from their conference on their own and tell everybody else to go frick themselves? Texas A&M.

And this wasn't the first time. You tried to run away and join the SEC on your own when you were in the SWC as well.

Oil $
Are still only worthy of two votes.

So what exactly are the financial incentives for UT?They have.their own network and make more TV money than any school in their conference.

Why in the world would they want any type of revenue sharing deal with the SEC?

A&M has never quite seen “success” like they’ve had in the SEC in terms of recruiting & national relevance, even if they’re still short on wins. If their step daddies came back & took all that from them, who knows what a aggy might do.

Not only that. But the higher ups at Texas made it clear they want nothing to do with the sec.

Great post, Charlotte Okie. The only thing I would add is that aggy voted for everything they bitched about TEXAS doing before they fled, but ran into financial difficulties and needed a bigger tit to suckle. It wasn't about aggy branding, it was about aggy solvency.

Moreover, aggy potentially benefited from having the conference football championship games rotated into Texas as a trade-off for basketball staying in Kansas City, as well as having the conference headquarters moved to Irving, Texas.

Only a whiny bitch bunch of aggy would complain about one school forcing certain issues that were advantageous to state of Texas schools. If it weren't for TEXAS, Nebraska would've run the conference. Does aggy think that would've helped or hurt the former SWC schools? We would've all been step-children.

Aggy is an ungrateful, thumb-sucking bunch of assholes.

It would cause LSU to finish 5th in the West every year.

Do what?So WTF was the LHN about? They sure as hell told
the big 12 to go "frick themselves" when they made that deal. They wanted to keep the lions share of 3rd party TV rights.

It's the reason they make about $15 million more in TV rights than other schools in the conference.

Lots of the other schools in the country could have done the same but thought it was against the best interest of their conferences

that would push Aubie to the East forsure then Mo would need to move to the west and then Bama to the east... Uga's head explodes... just as Fl gets back to being competition in the east, Bama comes in and makes winning the east almost impossible for uga.... maybe they could move to the ACC will be a while before FSu gets back to being worth a crap in football again

A&M ruining The Big12s monopoly on the state of Texas has hurt Big12 schools much more than 3rd tier rights business ventures.

Why did A&M, Missouri,Colorado and Nebraska all leave the Big 12?

You think there was a common denominator?
