Actually Texas was going to the PAC-12, because they consider themselves the academic equivalent of Stanford and such ... A&M was looking heavily at the SEC. The Texas Legislature with a bunch of Baylor alums got wind of their plans, and made both school take Baylor and Tech with them to the Big 8 instead, to form the Big XII

The only thing I could do is to laugh at the dumb basses that thought it would be a good idea to bring the University of Texas and their plague to the SEC. No Aggie would worry about OU. They only do what Tessus tells them to do.
Other than that...when they start telling everyone in the SEC that they are the boss (the Jones' that everyone is trying to keep up with) I would just say "I told you so."
We put up with it for over a 100 years. It would be fun to watch you have to put up with it to be honest.

The SEC already has the Texas market and it would not bring anything to the TV contract. You seem to forget that there is a Longhorn Network that the sips do not want to give up because they perceive it as an advantage to them and they don't share well.

You would be a bit confused as to how the Big 12 was formed and a bit confused as to how the Big 12 was almost imploded by Tessus the year before A&M went to the SEC. Tessus was leaving the Big 12 for the Pac 12 if A&M would go. A&M said no.

Texas A&M is the bigger school with more money, more research expenditures, better facilities, better athletes, better coaches, better student support, better administration support and diplomas that pay their grads more than Tessus diplomas!
