Right. I would think less of you if you didn't. I thought the same thing when I thought to mention "The Hit" to Ron Dickerson your former RB that got stuffed at the goal line in '90 in a job interview when he was on Nutt's staff. He was clearly not tRant material, as he was not amused.

Possibly, but we only had LSU and State left and we blew both of them out.

The pressure of winning was off by then.
Big difference, IMO.

We would have fricked up and lost to State the next week on Dak's senior night. Which would have been 100 times worse than 4th and 25

Joking and kidding aside, its interesting how one play can change the direction of a football program. While Arkansas would continue to be a national power the deep bomb Texas threw to convert a 4th and 3 was the high water mark for the Arkansas football program, while the even more improbably 4th and 25 play was likely the high water mark for Ole Miss in the modern era.

I'm not sure what's going on here. There has been civil discussion in this thread. Must not have been any LSU fans check in.

Arguably the two best Ole Miss teams this century, 03 and 15, both lost to Memphis. Don't forget that.

Tennessee led by Peyton Manning also lost to Memphis. Crazy.

The punt returner was down. Memphis won on a fluky play because of no replay. Now, the Ole Miss-Memphis games were 2 possession wins by Memphis. Keep that in consideration.

4th and 25 happens when you have a false prophet leading your team

For Memphis to be even close and win over a Peyton led TN and to beat those Eli and Chad Kelly led teams is nuts. Memphis hates both TN and OM, so all three Memphis losses can be chalked up to the rivalry effect. I don't think they like y'all very much either.

Being a resident of Mississippi, that play changed my life for the better. The play was nothing but karma for the 2 years I had to put up with Ole Miss fans ribbing me of how stupid Arkansas was to get rid of Nutt and what a great coach he is. It was awful, but it was all worth it.

We got the worst coach in Arkansas history and he gave us an undefeated slate against the best teams ole miss has ever fielded.
