Would have crushed Florida without Steroid Grier & maybe had been the only 2 loss team in the Final Four

I don't know what's worse...4th and 25 or the Valpo shot?

I don't think we would have played a higher seed until the Elite 8 had we beaten Valpo. That bracket was busted from Day 1

It's satisfying to know we kept it from happening, but let's be real - it's Ole Miss. Had they held on to defeat us, they just would have WAOM'd it up in the Egg Bowl.

We could have only hoped. Thankfully Hunter put our fears to rest

Even without Grier we kept Bama under 30 and only lost by 14. Our D had already taken your lunch money once that year and the OL knew your vaunted DL was fat, stoned, and completely undisciplined.

Sharkhumper wins that one easily IMO.

You would think the new gambling laws had kicked in and the Ole Miss D had bet a boatload.

You would have also seen OM win 11 games and 10 regular season games for the first time now that I think about it

I still say they would have blown a later SEC game, had it not been for the Arkansas game.

Would the committee have taken 11-2 Ole Miss over 11-1 Ohio State?

Possibly, but we only had LSU and State left and we blew both of them out.

Dude, they would've ripped us a new a-hole.

It's not the 4&25 WAOM pinnacle, but it's worth mentioning the 2003 OM-LSU game, when our Lou Groza award winning kicker on our then undefeated 7-0 SEC record team, missing two easy field goals against LSU that would have won the west.

WAOM would never allow for us to stumble into Atlanta like Arky and State losing 3 conference games.

Ummm Arkansas won in 06 with a 7-1 SEC record. Coincidentally, the 5 of the last 6 winners of the West have had that conference record. 06 was legit.

Of course your 7-1 SEC record team did in '06, as one would expect.

It is suprising (considering Bama), but not suprising (considering the SEC West) a 5 win SEC record team has won 5 of the last six western division titles,

And of course, it's not suprising our 7-1 SEC '03 record team did not, and 4th and 25 because 4th and 25, of course.
