Yet, Kentucky has also beaten the 8th, 12th, 28th, 37th, and 49th NET ranked teams.

Tell me more about great LSU non-conference wins. I don't like UK at all, but they've beaten Michigan State, Louisville, and Texas Tech.

And yet they have the same amount of quad1 wins and less quad 2 wins

Yet, you're all whining because you lost basically every non-conference game of note and you're winning in a conference that underperformed as a whole in non-conference play. I hate to tell you, but winning in the SEC isn't really going to get a whole lot of respect this year. As a whole, we aren't very good.

I’m not whining. Just pointing out discrepancies with bias from the media. As long as we are ranked our highlights will get played so whatever

We are the top ranked sec team in the net. Yes above uk and auburn. Which is what matters.

Is there really that much bias though? Their marquee wins are better. They're 13th and LSU is 22nd. It's not that big of a difference given that LSU has some good wins, but no great ones.

I think it’s more of annoying because throughout the season last year it was always “the SEC is good but it’s Kentucky and Tennessee at the top and then there’s everyone be else” and now it’s Groundhog Day except take away Tennessee.

We agree with your comment in general... we are talking about how the basketball media talks up and over ranks traditional blue blood teams. Not that LSU is or should be the #1 ranked team..

Having said that, at home, LSU could beat most if not all of the teams ranked ahead of them. There is no dominant team in College basketball this year.

I wouldn't even worry about all of that. Auburn ended up performing the best in the SEC in the postseason last year. The cream will eventually rise.

They would be #1 after getting waxed at home by East Tennessee State University

being in top 25 matters for program visibility and recruiting but it’s obviously not predictive. The thing that matters the most is seeding to make a run

What LSU is doing, they would be ranked #1 and ESPN would be collectively deep throating them every chance they got.

No. fricking. Respect.

BootUp! Strong arse Offers!

I keep up with both programs pretty well. LSU has a good hot streak running. UK has 4 ranked opponent wins (including #1 and #3) and one ranked opponent loss (#5) with a couple non ranked losses.

LSU has zero ranked opponent wins and one ranked opponent loss. I think the ratings are being fair for now. If LSU keeps up the play level through the conference they will be up there in the rankings.

What exactly is LSU doing that UK isn't? We have the exact same record except we have non-conference wins of MSU, Louisville, and TTU. If we swapped out those wins for wins against Rhode Island, Liberty, and Bowling Green we'd likely be ranked 22 or lower.

I watched Calipari's press conference on SEC Now last night after Vandy game - what a prick, asking the reporters questions and acting like they don't know anything.

Who does that remind us of?

Well to be fair y'all definitely wouldn't be ranked if you took away those wins. You lost to 4 pretty awful teams.

So if you took the 13th ranked team's 3 best wins away then they wouldn't be ranked? No kidding.
