I'm not sure I would even keep up with college football any more.

It's a sad time. I turned down free indoor box suite tickets for Auburn. I knew what was coming. We are snake bitten and Cursed.

Hate on conference pride all you want, but it is all some of us frickers have at this point.

Poor a drink out for me tonight.

College football is a shell of what it was in the 1990's. The influence of TV money on conference expansion, the end of rivalry games, the end of bowl games that mattered, too many bowl games, the transfer portal, atrocious officiating and only 6 to 8 teams having a shot at the CFP every year.

Came across this in a google search trying to find out why aggie CB left team...it will make you feel better.

why did we join SEC?

because its better to be mediocre in the best conference than to be mediocre in a crap conference.

True, but at least we'd win more games in the B12.

Except we didn't when we were in the Big 12

Aggie took our spot as that half arse decent team.

Vandy would beat us now. We will be lucky to beat Western Kentucky will this trajectory.

That's just ridiculous. It hasn't been that long since you were a threat in the West. Jesus, just hire a good coach next time.

At least a decade ago, I began enjoying CFB as a whole more than watching SEC football. I particularly like going to games in stadiums I have never been to. My last few "new" stadiums were:
- Appalachian St. at UL-Lafayette (Cajun Field)
- Washington St. at Southern Cal (L.A. Memorial Coliseum)
- Fresno St. at UCLA (Rose Bowl)
- Oklahoma St. at USA (Ladd Peebles Stadium)
- Memphis at Houston (TDECU Stadium)
I think I have seen games in 62 stadiums, I need to add them up.

I don't have much "SEC loyalty". That isn't really needed anymore. Maybe it was required 30 years ago when NBC, ABC, the AP, and the coastal medias were incessantly trying to prop-up Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami, Southern Cal and UCLA.

And it is certainly no fun to watch Alabama either roll over the dregs of the SEC (or their putrid OOC schedule) or have the SEC refs help them out against decent to good SEC teams.

Anyway, all in all, I still love my CFB Saturdays on TV, from 11am CT to whenever I doze off during the game that kicks off in Honolulu!!

What kind of attitude is that? Y’all lead them in wins. Buck up.

I’ll always hate you bastards for losing a Sugar Bowl to fricking Ohio State and remain convinced that bad people actually go to Texarkana instead of Hell when they die, but you’ll always be my favorite SWC refugee nastying up our fine conference.

They'll probably beat Western Kentucky.

I have to agree with the learned love of watching SEC teams.

After college, I always looked forward to the afternoon SEC on CBS game. Maybe that's because I attended both OBC and the CCC in Augusta, GA or maybe because it was just better football compared to the Big 12.
