The bammer vs ut game should be an OOC game. Keep playing it but no one cares except the two schools.

Actually, I think neither side cares any more lol.

This would lead to less marquee matchups most years

Why would those teams agree to switch up their permanent opponents and make on things tougher?

The most recent vote was 10-4, we know LSU is one of them.

I don't have a problem with eliminating permanent opponents as long as Auburn moves to the East.

And can Bama just STFU about The UT series..what a joke.

How about we make Ole Miss play somebody other than Vandy every year?

How about we put the titillating State-Kentucky rivalry on ice for a while?

How about we give every student athlete the opportunity to play in every SEC stadium during a 4 year career?

How about address the root cause of this mess and dump these supposed "traditional rivalries" that nobody gives two shits about? God forbid we deprive Alabama of its annual layup against Tennessee in the name of tradition. frick that stupid worthless game.

How about you coonasses stop whining and spend that energy on personal hygiene.

Alabama vs. Tennessee-- Bama 55-38-7
Auburn vs. Georgia-- UGA 59-56-8
Florida vs. LSU-- UF 33-29-3
Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt-- OM 49-40-2
Arkansas vs. Missouri-- Mizzou 7-3
Kentucky vs. Mississippi State-- State 24-23
South Carolina vs. Texas A&M-- A&M 5-0

Outside of the new A&M-USCe and Ark-Miz matchups they are pretty close. The biggest disparity is Bama-UT, but that is a supposed rivalry. Why would you take these good matchups away? Are you melting about having to play UF every year?

No. Let teams decide if they want to keep the permanent cross division or not. Seems like allowing teams to decide is most fair, right?

One size doesn't fit all with this and it will never. Best option is to allow teams some say instead of holding an entire conference hostage for the wishes of a just a few...

LSU and Florida have played every year uninterrupted since the early 70s and except for a brief 3-4 year stretch every year since the 50's. If that game goes away from the yearly matchup I'll be legitimately upset. I hate that school and want LSU to pumel them every year. What I really wish would happen is Tennessee come back to life.

. And I'm not just bitching about LSU and Florida having to play each other. I like that game.

Sure, yeah, ok... uh uh, yeah right... we all get it... LSU wants... yeah sure we get it (nudge nudge wink wink).

Actually, to about everyone on here you appear to be just another of a long line of LUSer fans whining about “schedules.” Next it will be about the SEC office in Birmingham, and Steve Scott and Tex Ritter fixing referees to favor “Bama” and cheat LSU. Then it will be about the national polls and ESPN and media all stacked against LSU...then about Peterson bobbling juggling interception, holding calls, no-calls, ref calls, house calls, called bets, mulligans, should-have-played-OSU, waaaaaaaahhhhhhggg.

Don’t you LUSer fans ever get embarrassed by these types who surface and breathlessly announce another newly discovered inequity that cheats LSU? What is next...threatening to go to the big XII? Oh my god...now THERE is a novel idea....

How long have teams has permanent cross-division opponents?

And if it has been a while, we’re y’all complaining when Tennessee was kicking the shite out of Alabama every year?

No. Keeping the rivalries was a condition of expansion and it will stay that way

Theres a middle ground here.

End the fake cross-div's.

Tamu-USC fake.
Mizzou-Arky fake.
OM-Vandy fake.

Remove these three fake rivalries and you release those six teams into the regular rotation.

From my perspective, UGA and OM would get to play twice as often. UGA would get to play Arky and AnM twice as often.

West teams get to play South Carolina twice as often. And mizz and Vandy woo hoo.

And it doesn't take an act of Congress to implement. This can come straight out of the SEC office.
