I think they'd do fine.
SEC has always been tough and remains tough, but it's also always been top heavy. What makes it exciting is all the big names and the dedicated fan bases. However, year to year a lot of those big names are not actually that good. Most recently Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, are all big names that look good on a schedule and on a conference roster, but have had variable periods of suckage.
Combine with NIL and you have Vandy and Indiana kicking the big name teams in the mouth.
But even when the SEC was at the highest summit, they still had half a conference that were mediocre at best.
I think what makes the SEC unique is that it does "mean more" to the fans and players which makes week in and week out more intense, regardless of the opponent (case in point, Texas lost to Florida in the Swamp in what was a down year for Gators). And because of this I think this year's IU probably would've dropped one along the way.
But they are the real deal and would have won the conference regardless. Not sure how anyone could argue otherwise at this point.

I think their softer schedule allowed them to be healthy in post season. The wear and tear of SEC catches up.
Lets compare pre playoff schedules of playoff teams.

The ACC knocked out the SEC, and we're about to have three years in a row in which the champ didn't come from the SEC. It's time to dial that talk down some.

Its time to get a new SEC Commissioner.
Tell ESPN that they can take their 9 game schedule and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Based on how Indiana has looked the last 3 games, they would own the SEC in 2025.
Totally wrong...
Indiana is not a deep team.
They would have sustained more injuries and as a result they would have ended up with at least two losses, if not three.

The commissioner is an employee who is doing what the member institutions tell him to do.

Indiana needed a miracle catch to beat Penn State. Teams have bad days and good days.

2025 TX A&M Schedule plus GA, Vandy, OU...probably undefeated or 1 loss.
Arkansas 2025 Schedule: Mizzou, Texas, LSU, Tenn, TX A&M, Ole Miss, plus GA, Vandy, or OU as 9th team. At least two or three losses.

They’d have injuries and they’d have been exposed on some form of weakness

Instead of teabagging B1G teams, they would teabag SEC teams.
This year's edition would easily go 12-0.

In this particular season, it's a no-brainer. Indiana would obliterate any SEC team. Hopefully, the Conference will regain its momentum in 2026, but who knows how all the roster changes will affect everything plus the uncertainty surrounding how the new coaches and staffs will adjust.

They would kick the dog shite out of every team in this conference

The SEC is still the toughest conference. It has the most depth by far and more NFL talent per team on average than the Big Ten.

I have watched several of their games this year. Keep telling buddies they were going to be hell to deal with. They didn’t believe me. They would still be undefeated or maybe 1 loss. They are built like SEC teams were a few years ago. They just beat the hell out of you on the lines!!!

This year they would have done great.
