There's 2 versions of Lane;
Early Lane got hired/fired by the Raiders and USC (and left Tenn in the lurch).
Recent Lane has been at fricking Ole Miss for half a decade churning out 10 win seasons, with no sign of the implosions he had earlier.
Ole Miss should not bitch; they were never in his price range if he hadn't blown his career up. As it stands, they used each other, and both profited

OM is in the same position as parents whose kids have grown up, all you can do is stand back and watch What is OM going to do? Fire Kiffin?
All this stuff about decision timelines is BS. Kiffin is not going to make a decision until he is ready to but in the meantime all this controversy may really screw OM over.

I’m not an ole miss fan but how Kiffin is handling situation is bullsh**. You are either in or you are out. Ole miss has treated him well and he should return the favor by not dragging out his decision. He needs to check his ego and announce his decision.

If we don't have a signed contract by Sunday after the Egg Bowl, he will be suspended with pay and we will move on as if he is leaving.
We can't allow this to go on thru the post season into the portal window and pick thru the bone pile for a coach if he leaves. The CFB timeline doesn't allow us to wait.

Hate that ole miss fans have to go through this every year. Something needs to be done with the way coaching contracts are structured. If they suck and fired they get a huge payday. If they win, they are poached and get a bigger payday. Wall Street and coaching, only professions you can get a big payday even if you suck.

If I was an OM fan I think I’d be pissed. I was upset when Saban said he wasn’t leaving and then left BUT it was for the nfl. Something new. And I wasn’t even mad when he went to bama. It’s what was open. And he wanted out of nfl.
I don’t see lane and his family wanting BR or Gainesville.
Our daughter’s OM alum and is still in Oxford. She loves it there and so do we. Idk that I’d leave Oxford.
