They fired multiple coaches who weren't doing bad and hired Billy.

Meanwhile you fired the COach who gave you your best season ever, literally less than 2 yrs later.

LSU isnt the only school with standards, bro

Kind of like being scared to ask out a hot chick. She cannot tell you NO if you never ask her out.

What's all the fuss over a guy whose only championship is C-USA?

No one believes that and it’s just wishful thinking. He may never end up at Florida but there is a zero percent chance his agent is saying anything at this point

This will likely go like a longhorn coaching hire. Throw names like Saban, Meyer and Gruden out to fans and hir Charlie Strong.

your guy won the national title 2 years prior

And beat Dan Mullen 3 years in a row

If your guy was failing Mullen was failing much worse

The way the rant talks about Mullen you'd think he won 11 games a year his entire tenure

Orgeron made it clear after his last two seasons that he was much more interested in running trim than coaching football. What he accomplished was beyond his wildest dreams in 2019. He was completely checked out after Burrow, Brady and company left.

You think Mullen wasnt checked out? Guy didnt even try to recruit, thought his Xs n Os would save him vs the UGAs / Bama's of the SEC

Mullen had just made the conference title game and lost by I think 5.

O did win a natty and then went 5-5 and 6-6. He also showed he couldn’t handle transfer portal or assistant hires. His job was on the line in 2021 and he knew it. He hired 2 first time coordinators.

For the record, Lane's agents have already told Florida he would unlikely be interested if there were an opening this season.

Interested in getting a better contract with Ole Miss.
