The 24 team playoff is gonna be a major repreive to a lot of mid tier coaches, at least for awhile.
Tons of coaches are gonna quickly rack up playoff appearances like it's something to crow about.
It will take fans a few years to get over that and realize that squeaking into the playoffs and getting bounced soundly in the first round isn't what successful programs actually do.

We had Brian Kelly for four years. Kiffin could lose the rest of the games this year and we’d still be better off than before.

It's not as if we haven't lost games at Auburn before. Anyone who follows this series knows it requires a supererogatory performance by the road team to come out of this game with a win.
