I’m gonna go ahead and call bs on that statement.

What’s the point of the thread?

Think LK has got the most out of this team. The OL and probably LB position needs to be addressed in the off season. You forget we had to watch BK terrible offense last few years. Lane has the team in every game, just got to find a way to close with a win on the road.
Good take

Most fans of other teams would feel fantastic also. In fact, it would be great and completely acceptable if Kefin and LSU were to lose every game for the rest of the season. It's his first season; he wasn't really expected to win any games during the very first year.
Good God! So much fail in one post.

LSU fans will be hopeful but we are not going to be confident considering how the team has played on the road thus far.

Nothing changes. It’s year one and we are undeniably a better team than last year. We have a solid core on both sides of the ball returning for next year. Most LSU fans realized going into the year that we were a bubble playoff team at best.

It's his first year and we all know it's a rebuilding year.
In Lane we trust.

LSU is leading sec in offense and defense
I'm sure we'd have our typical reactionary fans ready to burn down the whole program down but most levelheaded LSU fans appreciate what he has done in a short amount of time and are excited about the future

They should already be out on the clown. Two losses already with a roster they won't be able to afford again. *Lousyana is our nations poorest state*.

I think we'll be improved next year assuming Baker stays or we get a comparable DC. Kiffin will continue to keep the talent level up.
I'm happy. We are well-coached on both sides of the ball and the team has a lot of fight and good discipline. Momentum, regardless of outcome of this season, will be strong going into next year.

There is a faction of our fanbase that will probably want to get rid of him. As for me, I'll still be fine and not impatient at all.

Nick Saban lost 6 games in his first season (2007) as head coach at Alabama, finishing with a 7–6 record.
In his first year at LSU (the 2000 season), Saban went 8–4 overall and 5–3 in SEC play.
Is Lane the second coming of Nick Saban? Doubtful, but he's got to be the hardest working, most focused head coach since Saban was AT LSU, so if he has initial bumps in the road from a swiftly cobbled together team, that's what has to happen. Failure begats success. If he gets to the point of successive 5 loss seasons, then we have a problem. Now? No. It's part of the process.

If Auburn wins Saturday, how do LSU fans feel about Lane?

Like he's got things moving in the right direction but has some things to get worked out. However, it does depend on how you lose.
I guess the same can be asked for AU fans. If LSU beats AU by 17 or more, what's your take on your HC?
