OM fans can be pissed all they want at Lane but you'll have to deal with your perceived racist past forever on the recruiting trail and will have to continue to overpay players.

Lane isn't calling OM racist, and you shouldn't be calling LSU racist. We both have troubled history that we have largely moved past. He is saying old black people think that OM is racist and he has lost recruits over it.

That's a reality that the HC of OM is going to have to deal with, just like LSU will need to deal with negative recruiting against BR due to gun violence.

I don't know the answer to this but Alabama made a regional in 2021 with exactly 12 regular season SEC wins. They also won 2 games in hoover to bring the total to 14. So it has been done and is possible.

It may be a perception, but to think there are fewer racist grandparents in Baton Rouge than Oxford, Fayetteville, Athens, Knoxville, Tuscaloosa, or anywhere in the south is pretty wild.

You'll get shot up by a thug with a Glock switch while waiting in line in the food court, but at least there will be fewer Confederate flags around town.

I love LSU and have lived in BR my entire life, but if a recruit is being influenced by their grandparents to rule out Oxford because there are remnants of the old south around town, it is extremely low IQ. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to pick LSU over Ole Miss.

Sweep Florida

We ran into a buzzsaw this past weekend against top 5 team, but it's not over. Sweep Florida at home (to get to 12 wins) and win 2 games in the tournament and that is 14 wins. That's all we need.
