This is silly. LSU was the best and most consistent team last season by far.
While I think everyone watching that game thought Alabama was going to win it when they cut it to one score in the 4th, Joe Burrow and their RB were just too clutch, and having an injured Tua was too much an advantage to spot them. There's no reason to think it would have turned out different after 5 quarters short of Burrow being injured

LSU basically gave Alabama 21 points about as much as one team can another.
I feel that more than made up for a Tua "injury" that seems much exaggerated if you watch the game.

Everybody and their momma knew CEH was getting the ball on first down with 1:20 left on the clock. He proceeded to drag his nuts across the Tide Nations's face by dragging the entire Bama defense 13 yards for the first down that allowed LSU to take the knee to end the game. And you think Bama was gonna be stopping the LSU offense in a 5th quarter?

Our defense sucked. We didn’t stop one decent offense all season long.
