If Alabama finishes 14-4 and Arkansas finishes 13-4...

...does the league name both teams SEC co-champions or do they go by winning % leaving Arkansas SOL?

Alabama has tiebreaker over them at 14-4 so it shouldn’t matter

We split, how do we have the tiebreaker?
Either way, SEC doesn't do tie breakers. Two teams with the same record are both champions. Not sure how they'd do this.

It goes by record against the other top teams I think. And they would have lost to Tennessee and LSU and we didnt
If both finish at 14-4, Alabama would be #1 seed.

We just got our game with Aggie rescheduled for March 6th, looks like we could still do co-champs. I can't imagine you guys choking away these last 2 games though.

Thats how they do tie breakers when placing seeds in the conference tournament but 99% sure it doesn't work that way for the league title
Edit: Actually that is for multiple teams in a tie

It doesn't for conference championship or standings. Tiebreakers are only used for tournament seeding purposes.

I still can't imagine you guys losing 2/3 to the plodding pace of MSST, the best athleteless Auburn, and/or Georgia

The chances Arkansas wins out with LSU, @SCAR, A&M is pretty likely.
The chances Bama loses out against MSU,AUB, and UGA is very unlikely.
Bama will be conference champs.

I was confirming because you said 99%.

Pretty sure they split it, look at a few years ago with UT and Auburn
ETA, I believe Auburn was 1-0 vs UT that year as well

They split it, but BAMA keeps the trophy. Just the way it works in the SEC.

Well...in 3 of our last 4 games we've held on for dear life against both South Carolina and Vandy and then got hammered by y'all so nothing is a given in these last 3 games.
Mississippi State and Georgia are playing really well right now and Auburn isn't an automatic win especially if Cooper plays in that game. Also I don't see any way Arkansas loses any of their last 3 games.

1. The team with the highest percentage of wins during regular-season Conference competition will be declared the Conference champion.
I don't believe there is anything that specifically states a tie-breaker, so the assumption is that identical records will be co-champions.

That's the problem though. Arkansas through no fault of their own will be even with Alabama in the loss column but 1 win short in the win column if they win out and Alabama wins 1 of their last 3 games.
My guess is that under that scenario the league will name both teams co-champions with Bama getting the #1 seed in the SEC tournament.
