Deep down I bet he's ready to get out of Tuscaloosa.
I could totally see him pulling a Lincoln Rileyesque move here soon.
I am a Missouri fan. I really do think Alabama will win by 2 scores. I have ben quite recently because I knew that Mizzou has no chance to beat Ty. He is the real deal. I am shocked why the line is only -2.5 to -3.5 for Alabama. I think people will be in a huge disappointment by the beginning of the 4th quarter. Similar to the Vanderbilt-Alabama game.

Fran was just the completion of the trade. Bama got Paul Bryant and Gene Stallings. Aggies got Fran. Seems fair.

I heard Nicole was looking at houses in Texas.

He is from the upper mid west area. Where would he be going if he was to head home? And unless Lanning screws the pooch why would he be leaving Oregon anytime soon? Most of the top coaches in CFB right now are under 50 and I dont see them leaving their respective schools unless they get fired.

This thread is 5 weeks too late. He’s looking like a contender this year.
Those most recent victories at Georgia and over Vandy must have made KB miserable.

Smells like scared bitch in here.

You know your coach is good once the trolls transition from "You're stuck with him!" to "I bet he's gonna leave!"
I expect to read about how Nicole DeBoer's been hunting for a house in Austin any day now.

All non Bama fans are just praying that this thing falls apart in Tuscaloosa. They see what’s happening and are starting to have nightmares. The train keeps rolling….

I wouldn't be surprised to see DeBoer make a lateral move somewhere else.
Took him big balls to even come down here to succeed Nick, why would he abandon ship? He has the program in a good place presently.

There is no lateral move from Bama. We are the gold standard.
except if you don't win natties every other year, then your fanbase becomes insufferable and you start throwing bricks through office and house windows, etc.

Coach Fran disagrees.
Coach Fran was initially promised an Alabama program that was not going to lose significant scholarships. At the end of his first season, Mal Moore's initial meeting with the NCAA said otherwise and confirmed it was going to be bad with the self imposed sanctions. Can't blame him for looking to bail. Alabama was just a damaged set of goods.

In 2002 Bama offered Fran a 10 year, 15 million contract.
Kirby almost makes that for a single season now. Talk about wage inflation.
Fran at Bama destroyed Nick Saban's LSU team...some irony there considering the trajectory of their careers thereafter.

Up until now the script was that Deboer sucks and nobody would hire such a bum
I'm surprised they've already moved to the "bargaining" coping stage so quickly.

let's face facts: if you're a good or top coach, you can win a national title at Alabama, obviously. the tradeoff in the post-Saban era is living up to the standard he set in the 2010s and that fanbase's perennial title expectations.
Saban's Bama dominance elevated fans being spoiled to an almost insane level where nothing short of replicating that dominance will be good enough; from a competitive standpoint, that's healthy if you're a coach and/or player but that doesn't sound like a very enjoyable or constructive existence under which to operate when you're in your 50s-60s. Really comes down to cost-benefit analysis, it's very likely DeBoer just has insane confidence in his abilities to have made a move like this, though starting Milroe Year 1 was dumb in retrospect but he faced a difficult dilemma there so he should get a pass.

Yeah, somewhere like Arkansas or UCLA seems realistic.

Man, I haven't read a good, "Bama's coach is never going to stay there long-term, he hates their fanbase and wants to get out," thread in many a year.
