Ford is not physical and is why he is down on the depth chart some. He shies away from contact, and it makes little sense since he is a weight room machine. His body could easily handle the pounding, but he prefers to dance around.

he was recruited as a physical back and my roommate who played scout team against him everyday for the last 2 years said he was physical but he fumbles the ball a ton (maybe that is why he is avoiding contact now)

Tell that to the 2 people who called him soft in this thread.

They were both LSU fans FWIW...

Ford has some work to do, but has the skills to be very very good.

The dude could score eight touchdowns against LSU and I still wouldn't give a frick that he's not here. As it was easily pointed out in this thread and others, we are not lacking in RBs and he'd just be another dude in our rotation.

Watched Lacy run for 4 years in high-school. My son played with him. I wish he was at LSU but it was probably best for him to be at Bama. He is not a dumb kid, just got by as a stud football player, did what he had to do. We still don't know just how good he is because he hasn't played in enough games. Same can be said about Ware. Both are going to be fun to watch. I pull for Bama when they are not playing LSU because of Eddie. He is a very likeable kid. I wish him the best of luck this year. Just not when they play LSU.

I'll give you even odds he doesn't finish at Bama before getting arrested.

I'll give anyone even odds that you've had your arse kicked before, for being a douchebag.

Lacy? Dude seems like a great guy. I think you're confusing him with someone else.

This is a great thread.

Bama fan: Bet you wish you had Lacy.

LSU fan: No. We have the greatest RB's ever.

Bama fan: What are their names because their reputation for greatness hasn't reached us yet.

LSU fan: Dumbass. Everyone has heard to Lafontagne, Pierre, Lafairfax, and Smith.

Bama fan: GTFO. Lacy may be our 3rd best RB and he's better than all those guys.

LSU fan: Saban to Dallas!

For the record, nobody is better than Trent. Eddie will be a great back, but a half a step back from Trent. Whoever LSU has, I'm sure they're good too.

Ware is much better than Lacy. If it's not apparent by now, it will be by the end of the season.
How can you type this with a straight face?

LSU fans have high hopes for Ware this season and we have every right to be. The few times he got in during the season he always seemed to be around good plays. You remember the half-back pass against y'all right? Also, Ware punked a guy that's getting ready to be a top 10 pick in the NFL draft in Von Miller...... twice. He's big, powerful and has amazing vision. He showed that consistently again in the Spring Game. Throw in the fact that our o-line will be one of the best in the SEC and we have every right to think he'll be better than Lacy since he'll be splitting carries with Richardson all year. Ware will be THE man here.

Nothing wrong with that, but that isn't what I had an issue with in the post I quoted. Both will be good backs but to say that one is much better than the other, at this point, is ignorant.

Why is Ware going to be THE man at LSU but Lacy will just be ok because he splits carries with TR? Don't it seem to lead you to believe the fact that to get carries away from one of the best backs in the SEC you probably pretty fricking good?

Jesus. It's like comprehension should be a fricking remedial class at Bama or something. Ware will get way more touches than Lacy will this year. Saban has played platoon RBs since he's been a coach, even more so than Miles. It's not that hard to figure out really.
