No, I think everyone gets exactly what you are saying. We just disagree with it. I’d rather be undefeated. IDGAF about their melt. I celebrate our wins, not someone losses.

I could see you feeling this way if the loser of this game was definitely going to make the playoffs. You could argue that the losing team will have the edge in a rematch.
But with Bama's weaker schedule, if you take care of business this week, you could be all done facing Bama for the year and cause them to miss the playoffs for the first time.
I can appreciate the wacky take, but it's not quite the poetic set-up you're thinking.
