Whatever. The Big 10 is awful. As long as it continues to be awful, mediocre teams will pull better records than they should.

An Arky fan that hates OSU more than Bama? Seems odd.
Why would Arkansas fans hate Alabama?

Iowa was a complete fraud this entire season. Play it again and they go 8-4
They could have also just as easily gone undefeated. Lost by 7 to Northwestern and 3 in OT at Ohio State.

Where Bama would have beaten them by a score of about 700-7.

Why do people always say this?
No, it's not awful. It's a conference that went 4-3 in bowls (could have easily been 6-1) and 2-0 in BCS games. It may not be the SEC, but it's not awful.

Pure speculation. And they wouldn't have played, anyway. They would have finished undefeated, by beating Oregon in the Rose.

Just seems like it'd be more likely they'd hate a team they play every year, than a team they virtually never play.

I watched the Big 10 the entire season. It consisted of bad teams playing awful football.

Iowa relied on bullshite luck to get to where they were. That's it. They played a bunch of mediocre teams and squeaked by them. They're okay. They aren't special. The conference being as bad as it was made them look better than they were.
So who's to say if they replayed their scheduled they wouldn't get lucky again or beat the mediocre teams? Keep up the speculation, it's quite humorous.

Bama would throttle them.
And don't be sure they beat Oregon. It's much easier to scheme for GT.

I tend to think that playing garbage football would get you beat more often, but it is the Big 10.

The 3rd best Big 10 team beat the 3rd best SEC team. Northwestern was an average kicker away from beating Auburn. The gap isn't as wide as you act.

quote:Auburn finished tied for 7th in the SEC and Northwestern finished tied for third in the Big 10. Penn State beat a Les Miles coached team that couldn't hold on to anything on a mud field. The only really good win for the conference was OSU beating Oregon, and that was an OSU team that had a functional quarterback as opposed to the one that played the entire regular season. OSU with Pryor playing well can compete for a national title. Iowa, Wisconsin, and Penn State are nothing special. Michigan will get good again, but until then the Big 10 won't have another national title contender.
