I'm tired of hearing about OSU's defense. The best O they have played all year was ranked 30th in the nation, and that O smoked them. To find the next best offense they have faced you have to dip down into the 50's.

Ok, I have no dog, pig, or buck-nut in this fight; but I hate it when someone cannot get their facts straight.

Yes the Bucks lost to Wisconsin who's offense ranks #17 (NOT 30). However, the Bucks beat Michigan (#6 total offense) and Miami (#31 total offense). Please get your shite straight before you open your mouth and show your ignorance.

How the frick does the "Appalachian State-Western Illinois FCS playoff game" have any affect on LSU and Boise State when neither played either of these teams?

That is not even the worst part. That single game (Appy vs W Ill) apparently affected every teams SOS in the Colley poll.

Somehow 11 of the teams SOS increased, and the other 14 decreased.

Stanford (somehow) took the biggest hit, losing .65 points from their SOS.

VA Tech got the biggest boost with .51 points added to their SOS.

Every ranked Big XII, ACC, WAC and MWC team had their SOS increased. And likewise, every other team, including ALL SEC teams had their SOS decreased.

What the frick???

You can remove the * from the Cocks, its official.

PRESSURE
*FACT: An undefeated team has lost in each of the last 2 SEC title games.
AUBURN: Can the pressure that surrounds the Tigers (and I’m not talking about the Cam Gate crap) finally get to them. They are on the proverbial door step of playing for the school’s 2nd national title and that could prove to be a bit more than they can handle. Sure they have had 6 come from behind wins in the 2nd half, but the smartest of all gamblers and soothsayers know that luck and good fortune will eventually run out.
CAROLINA: I am dead serious when I say this, what pressure? Nobody expected the Cocks to even be here, so what do they have to lose? They really don’t. Spurrier and Co. can lay it all out on the line and bet the house and they can ‘stand’ or ‘double-down’ and it doesn’t matter if they bust or come up blackjack they have already won just by getting here.

RUSH DEFENSE
*FACT: In the last 5 SEC Title games, the team held to the fewest rushing yards has lost.
AUBURN: The Tigers are allowing just 108 yards a game rushing and come in #10 in the country against the run. Defensive lineman Nick Fairley is a beast and comes in with 20 tackles for loss on the season and is a big reason for the Tigers success against the run. The only team to rush for over 200 yards against Auburn this season is Ole Miss and the Tigers beat them by 20.
CAROLINA: The Cocks come in as the nation’s #5 defense against the run allowing just 93 yards a game on the ground. Yes, Cam and the boys trounced them for 334 yards but in the 8 games since they have only allowed 2 teams to reach the century mark. In their last 3 games leading up to this one (Florida, Troy and Clemson) the Cocks allowed a total of 177 rushing yards, all 3 teams came in averaging over 154 yards a game rushing.

COACHING
*FACT: Coaches appearing in their 1st SEC Title Game are just 5-7, coaches in their 2nd or more are 12-10.
AUBURN: Gene Chizik is just 2 full years removed from leading his then Iowa State Cyclones to a 2-10 overall record and 0-8 mark in the Big XII. Chizik has passed all his tests so far this semester, but the ‘Final’ is no sure shot.
CAROLINA: Steve Spurrier has won more SEC Championship games than any other coach (5-2), however it has taken him 6 long seasons to get the Cocks to Atlanta. But you gotta like someone who has been there done that compared to a 48 year old virgin.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
Cam Newton will play a HUGE part in the final outcome of this game. However, there is also two key play makers on the South Carolina offense that will be the difference makers in this game. Cocks wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey and freshman sensation running back Marcus Lattimore. While Cam will get his large chunk of total yardage, Jeffrey will come up with at least 3 catches and Lattimore will run at least 30 times and help the Cocks keep the Cam Train waiting at the station longer than he would like. It will not take a perfect game by Carolina to pull out the upset, but if the Tigers dig themselves into an early hole like they have time and again this season, then the clock will strike midnight on their run at perfection. It doesn’t matter if overall Auburn is the better team or not, because in the words of former Cocks Coach Lou Holt “You just have to be the better team in this game.”

In the end, Spurrier’s Cocks choke Chizik’s War Cam Eagle.

Payout doesnt matter, the conference gets it! geez. IDIOTS

Exactly. If you take the payout of Cap-One and Cotton and divide by the 12 members of the SEC, then LSU gets an extra $50K plus for Cap One Bowl. Not that big of a deal.

By playing in the Cotton Bowl we get 3 advantages:
#1 We Play on Jan 7 as the only game that day = extra national exposure.
#2 We get an extra week of practice for next year.
#3 Our 85 underclassmen get to play on the same field that they open up the 2011 season on.

Bottom line = frick THE CAP ONE BOWL
