Next yr, SEC will get back to natty respect..Ky, LSU, Tenn, Aub, and Fla.
This yr it's Nova, Va, MSU, Mich, Xav, Cincy, Duke, UNC, Pur, Clem..
But, not any Big 12, PAC, nor WCC teams this March, despite the media and announcers hype..most all of them will prove tourney soft once get to Round of 32 and/or Sweet 16.

It looked like it. The wheels came off. It's pretty ugly for Avery right now.

Alabama is under a dago curse for firing Whimp for giving his sexatary black eye. We will not have a successful basketball program until we remove the curse by sacrificing a virgin from one of the Greek houses on campus. After 20 years we are still looking. Damn it.

An LSU is making an observation that Alabama’s AD and a lot of ADs are going with the splash get rich scheme of hiring recruiters who can’t coach.
Are you an AD? No. He’s not lecturing you. Also, an LSU fan is not resigned to making coaching observations because of their idiotic AD. That’s stupid fricking logic.

Agree generally, however, Johnson wasn't really a recruiter who couldn't coach. He was a wild card with a raw skillset and no background at all in the college game.
Battle took a chance, and it wasn't a total failure. If Byrne moved on today Avery would have given us a solid roster and 3 solid, yet unspectacular years that fell just short. The program would in good shape to offer to somebody else. The problem will be if he hangs around and things deteriorate next season.

I gave as much confidence in Alabama getting a win Thursday as the 2003 Chicago Cubs winning game 7 after the Bartman fiasco. Sure it's possible, but we're psychologically already toast.
