I'm going to go with NO on this one dawg.

Still #1 in team talent with essentially equivalent 5-stars to tOSU/UGA and a notable amount of more 4-stars than anyone.

Bama is a bunch of cheaters. From recruiting to refs to hurting QBs, I can't stand them.

This is classic "we ain't scared" but you're really scared to death of what is awaiting you when you join the conference. It isn't just the fact you play bama it's the conference games in between that are what will kill yall

Alabama has a margin for error as wide as a barn, unlike any other program.
They can miss on a few and still find talent to replace outgoing talent.

No other team has this luxury.

Everything points to the Texas game being the exception, not the rule.

Be glad they played them early.

Alabama is supposed to get 2 of their top 3 WRs back by October.

Well yeah but you have to go back to before 2008 to find a year where they didn't have at least one perimeter WR that wasn't a first round talent.
They've also enjoyed having a center who was either an all conference or all american candidate. Last season and this season is a huge exception.

They are about to find out why most SEC teams throw in a November cupcake and/or bye week.

Yeah they’re number 2 instead of number 1 in recruiting. Must be rough

Yeah but the recruits are more spread out than they ever were with Georgia getting a shite ton of talent over the last few years. Then you have A&M now buying recruits. It’s affecting bama. They don’t have a monopoly on 5stars any more.

This is actually the opposite of true. Recruits are getting more and more consolidated, point out by the fact Alabama's 2021 class was at the time the record, and then Texas A&M's 2022 class was also the new record a year later.

Alabama at #2 in 2022 was actually still good enough for the #1 class in some previous years.

Again, the opposite is true. According to recruiting ranks, these Alabama teams are the most talented of the Saban era, and likely the most talented in history(according to recruiting ranks).

I agree. Add Texas in there and USC in there and Michigan. If a Florida school or 2 could get in the top 15 and pull a 5 star here and there from Bama it will keep leveling somewhat. Tennessee and Ole Miss are probably getting a 3-4 star that was Bama bound. It all helps.

Right and lazy recruiting by some of the former coaches. You can't tell me these guy don'ts sidle up to the recruiting site guys and "talk up" some two star wonder they've had in camp. Coaches get bonuses and promotions based on how well they recruit. Suddenly Tyron a WR from Slap-Out Mississippi is a "5 star". The infamous "Bama Bump" in effect. I think we're seeing this with some of the WR recruits the past few season.

You are correct. Our 2 speed receivers (Jo Jo Earle and Louisville transfer Tyler Harrell) are out with foot problems. JoJo has fracture and will be out for several weeks (too lazy to look at a calendar and figure out when he should be back). Harrell has a sprain, is practicing some, and is "day to day". Without the threat of pure blazing speed our offense doesn't work as well, as you guys showed the world in Jan. But we have a number of other issues too. Link is to article on Harrell.

You are implying that we aren't that good this year because we struggled with Texas, which implies that Texas fricking sucks. I mean, maybe they do, but maybe your team isn't all that shitty? I guess we'll find out.

Bama has had games like this some years during this run since 2008, and in some of those years they won the NC. When it happens people overreact, its probably wishful thinking. One day it will be true, is it this year, who knows? So far the milions of people in sports media, rival fans, and even our own fan base have been dead wrong. I for one hope that this year they are wrong again. By the way Texas is the 2nd most talented team on our schedule according to the composite talent rankings, and the most talented team on our schedule just lost to App. State, not to mention Sark is one of the best play callers in CFB, and Gary Patterson is one of the best defensive minds in CFB. We crapped the bed Saturday and won. Rich people problems.

I am not sure they missed on talent of their recruits at Bama. I do think that they may have gotten some guys with character issues who think the wins are just going to come to them. That can be the recipe to take the program down a notch from within.
