Tennessee ended up getting arguably Bama's most talented recruit in its program's history, Alvin Kamara.

Bama has definitely missed on O-Line recruits. In many cases, they got the player they wanted, but things haven't worked out. Some have struggled to gain and maintain weight; a couple can't seem to get healthy in long enough stretches to practice and develop. If Bama could swap O-Lines with UGA, we'd go 15-0. Alas, if a frog had wings....

Again, the opposite is true. According to recruiting ranks, these Alabama teams are the most talented of the Saban era, and likely the most talented in history(according to recruiting ranks).

The rankings are diluted now.

No idea what this is supposed to mean honestly.

It’s pretty simple math.
Say there are 10 5 star recruits and in the past they were going to 3 schools and you got 6 of them leaving 2 a piece for the other schools.
Now those 10 recruits maybe spread over 5-6 schools. So in the past you might’ve gotten 6 of them and had the top class but now you might get 4 of them and the other 6 went elsewhere. Still ranked #1 in recruiting but now more of those top recruits are at other schools. See? Not so hard to understand right?
