I think we are simply witnessing Bama miss on some recruits.

The Mac Jones year was a case of almost every player on offense being a complete gem.

Same with 2019 LSU. Burrow was a damn massive gem and then all the receivers and Edwards Helaire

Yeah they’re number 2 instead of number 1 in recruiting.

Must be rough

Even the best programs will miss on recruits when A&M is out there paying for them.
When the playoff goes to 12 teams I think things will level out even more when athletes realize they can go somewhere other than Bama, Clemson, OSU and be in the playoffs

Mac Jones was an average three-star prospect.

Aren't they missing their 2 best WR right now? When those guys come back they'll be fine. That offense needs at least 1 megastud WR to thrive, they just unfortunately have zero on the field as of now. Typically they have at least 2 and sometimes even 4 or 5 all at once.

This is true. He was a Kentucky commit before Bama flipped him.

2019 and 2020 Bama returned everyone on offense that’s why the offenses were so good. Our issue is if we’re missing in OL them everyone is because these guys aren’t scrubs. I think it’s been development since last year. The new OL coach is supposed to be really good. We will have to see as the year plays out if they get better. Unless there a senior outside of Randolph they should all be back because as of now none of them are getting 1/2 tound grades for sure.

That’s my point. He was a gem. So we’re all the receivers they recruited the years before

Playoff expansion isn’t going to substantially impact recruiting. The programs with the most resources will still dominate recruiting at more or less the same rate as they have been. BYU being able to slip in some years won’t magically make their NIL or facilities better.

I'm too lazy to do the research but what does the transfer portal look like for Bama? I know they lost a very good LB to the portal.

Are they getting folks from the portal? What are they losing to the portal? The advent of the transfer portal may be the biggest equalizer to ever happen in major college football.

Arkansas picked up a ton and the ones who transferred out, save one DB, were so far down on the depth chart they aren't missed.

Bama picked up a lot of good players. If it weren’t for Gibbs they’d be 1-1 right now.

Jefferson was a 2 star recruit that LSU basically took a flyer on late in the process primarily because two of his brothers played at LSU and it hit big time

Miles almost lost Chase because he wanted him to play DB

Helaire almost decommitted when O pursued another RB, most shyed away from Helaire due to his size

LSU got lucky with Burrow but that first season at LSU was not great, he just took the bull by the horns and led that team to greatness

Don’t think so, but they are missing the 2 fastest ones. They have really struggled developing wrs they recruited out of HS recently.

Bama is a bunch of cheaters. From recruiting to refs to hurting QBs, I can't stand them.

I can't wait to lay waste of Bama's existence in the SEC.

A new king/queen is being crowned.

It's called losing players to the first round of the nfl draft.

Didn’t even have to wait for them to join the conference. They’re already getting a taste of what’s going to be like for them now.

Weren’t the officials from the Big 12?
