I think it'll be difficult for the SEC to fill all its bowl slots this year

Right now, seven teams are eligible, and Texas A&M will likely get win #6 vs. New Mexico in a couple of weeks. Ole Miss won't be bowling due to infractions even if it reaches 6 wins, and there are FIVE other teams that have just 3 wins with four games to go: Vandy, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Tennessee.

Vanderbilt (Western KY, Kentucky, Missouri, @ Tennessee)
Arkansas (Coastal Carolina, @LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri)
Florida (@ Missouri, @ South Carolina, UAB, Florida State)
Missouri (Florida, Tennessee, @ Vanderbilt, @ Arkansas)
Tennessee (Southern Miss, @ Missouri, LSU, Vanderbilt)

Both Shreveport and Birmingham may be scrambling...

Man the SEC has such bad bowl locations. Can we really not do better than Shreveport and Birmingham?

The SEC is the best damn football conference in the nation. Also CUSA has better bowls than us.

Tennessee and Florida make it. Tennessee beats USM, Mizzou, and Vandy to make it to 6-6. Florida beats Mizzou, UAB, and a hapless FSU team to make it, as well. Vandy goes 1-3, Mizzou goes 1-3, and Arkansas goes 2-2.

To paraphrase Joakim Noah, if nobody wants to go to your city for vacation, it's not a good Bowl location.

This is what happens when you have like 10+ bowl tie ins. The ones up top are fine. There are only so many good locations.

I think Missouri may beat Tennessee comfortably and their game with Vandy will be close. I also think Tennessee's team may quit after last week and could very easily lose all of their remaining games. They're only favored by 7 at home against Southern Miss, who got boat raced by UAB last weekend.

Mizzou is going to beat Tennessee like they stole something and Vandy might shut them out.

Bring back the Bacardi Bowl .. move it to Jamaica

Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn) vs. Villanova College (1937)

On New Year's Day 1937, Auburn and Villanova played to a 7-7 tie in the closing game of the Cuban National Sports Festival. It was the first post-season game for both schools and the first attempt to stage a large-scale college football game between two North American teams in Cuba. The game, later labeled the "Bacardi Bowl," did not become an annual event, but it was intended to compete with the Rose, Orange, Sugar, and Cotton Bowls. Many Cuban football enthusiasts hoped a Cuban team would participate in the game in the future, creating an annual U.S./Cuban match-up.
