I think DeBoer is a lot like Dabo. We will be one of the youngest teams in the country.

We have 8 projected starting sophomores to only 4 seniors.

Bama isnt bringing in older transfer guys and instead using the meat of the recruiting classes to field their team.

This strategy may blow up, but this is the main reason for lack of a recruiting class. Highly touted guys aren't going to committ to sit the bench unless you overpay for them and we arent going to do that.

Theres not a single starting senior offensively. We could return the entire offense.

Sounds like a poor plan.

Its going to be interesting to see how it does work out. If he keeps the offense in tact we should have an elite offense in 2027.

Is it working out for Dabo? In the SEC to be a true contender that younger talent better be pretty good this season.

Across college football this will be an interesting watch. Indiana won because of experience. How will teams who use the portal to rebuild vs teams who try and stay with recruiting their teams ?

LSU is a portal dominant team. We're going to find out if heavy portal, medium portal or light portal works best. I may be mistaken but I don't think Georgia is a heavy portal team and they're going to be really good imo.

Bama will win 10 games this season, and that's due to a weaker than normal schedule for them.

LSU probably won’t go heavy in portal in future years. They just bought a lot of players this year so they can be competitive.

I think it depends on how good they are this season. Also, how many HS signees transfer via the portal. No one is going to admit it out loud, but I think a good number of "transfers" are players being processed. I think the longer the portal allows unlimited transfers coupled with ridiculous NIL figures, I expect to see more players processed year after year.

If the comparison stops with youth of his team, I'm okay.

Dabo won. DeBoer hasn't and won't.

I mean they have arguably the easiest SEC schedule out of the entire conference, 8-4 with that type of team should be the floor should the refs actually call the games fairly

LSU's doing basically the same exact thing with their current young transfers and recruits for 2026 and 2027 but the Lane Train proceeds undeterred

Washed up and behind the times?

Clinging to the past? (Not his past, but Bama’s)

If they are or were highly touted guys, then they likely hit the portal for more money. And depending on how the next couple years go for DeBust... y'all may end up paying guys what they want.
