Maybe, but not a lot of guys start for five years these days at Power conferences and even less in the SEC. If you start as a freshman in the SEC, and are good enough to keep the job, probably not hanging around for five.

Dude, the reason he has the passing record is because he was t good enough to go pro after his junior year. And he replace Joe Cox who absolutely sucked so he got time as a freshman.

HE didn’t lose anyone. You act like football isn’t a team sport and the 2010 UGA team his freshman season was absolutely dreadful.
Against Colorado he went 16/27 3Tds 1 Int and 227 yard for a QBR of 72.1 again, as a true freshman in the SEC. Blame the defense for blowing a 24-14 lead
Against Florida as a true freshman he goes for over 300 yard and 3 TDs, while making mistakes having 3 INTs, this was a true freshman QB. He rallied the team back from being down 21-10 in that game and lost in OT. Again in a game where he had a QBR of 80.1 as a true freshman

Considering the fact that it was against the rules, you are correct.
Considering the fact that some players will earn more in college than they would in the pros as a backup, it won't take long. 5 years. Maybe 6 before someone is talented enough to break the records.

Umm.
Aaron Murray redshirted 2009 when Joe Cox was finishing his 5th year.
It was Murray vs Mettenberger for 2010 and Murray won the competition in the spring.

He was a redshirt freshman.
But you are correct. The offense wasnt very good. We ran for 1500 yards as a team over 13 games. He had no help.

Can you not read? It’s in the first sentence of the post “ranked games after his freshmen season” when the team was absolutely terrible. I already posted the stats from two of those games though in which the defense blew a 2 score lead against CU and Murray rallied us back in the UF game down 24-10 only for the defense to choke it away.
Coincidentally this is the only loss he has to UF.
