but most the non-AU fans...If/When all this is confirmed...Will it be found out that the AU coaching staff was involved? or do you guys think it was more boosters/BOT members?

Yes, I think all parties are involved...some coaches, some boosters, some BOT members, some current players.

Not sure if Chizik and Jacobs are "in" on it per se, but the reason they got the job they did was so that other people could run the show IMO.

I'd really like to think the coaching staff had nothing to do with it, and I truly believe Chizik had no idea. IF they did, I don't see how Auburn will avoid the death penalty if everything that has been posted comes to fruition.

If money was paid I think at least one member of the coaching staff probably knew... and the others were kept intentionally peripheral if they didn't know

The extent of the involvement would be pretty speculative... whether it was a tator-tot situation where he wanted to get rid of it as much as possible... or a Pat Dye situation where he probably fully approved

BOT and the boosters, the staff was just brought in to be a puppet IMO. I mean yeah Chezz was there as D cord. so it was know(and maybe thats why they(above)knew this would work)that they could use him as a puppet

some, not all

Trooper is probably in the know... I doubt Chiz is.

I thought when you brought Pat Dye back in, who was a Lowder guy, that you were going to have problems.

I don't think Chizik would know. An assistant coach could know. Boosters are the problem. And agents/runners.

I personally think Chiz will have plausible deniability but it will ruin his career, nonetheless. (I’m not saying he knows either but this will not be good for him.)

Malzhan has now been front and center for two program wrecking fiascos, he's not going to get a big time shot, like everyone had him lined up for a month ago; too much baggage.

Trooper is probably the key figure if any coaches were involved and it will be easy to offer him up for sacrifice. He's done.

Other than that, I think the scandal stays with the boosters, who happen to be tied to the AD so AUBURN is screwed but the coaching staff (in general) will not be the culprit.

it looks like Chizik was hired to coach the team and keep his eyes, ears and mouth shut. not overtly though. the BOT/Colonial gang is in charge. damn shame. it could ruin chiziks career and he's a pretty good coach. he couldn't recruit in the mid-west so i'm not thinking he's a great recruiter.

If..if this is found to affect Auburn, there probably is at least one assistant coach that new what was going on. If you look at most of these types of cases, there is usually at least one assistant coach that was in the know.

I think Chizik was hired because a 5-19 record at a bottom-feeding Big XII school will guarantee you're a 'yes man' when hired at an upper level SEC school. I would not be surprised if Jacobs was actually told by the sleazebags in charge to hire Chizik so they could get back to the pre-Tubby shenanigans.

So yeah, silence to illegal shite implies complicity. Chizik knows some things, for sure.

Trooper Taylor is on your coaching staff, so hell yes they knew something about it. A lot of people think it'd be better if the coaches didn't know about it, but that's not exactly the case. The lack of institutional control tag is getting applied either way.

I would speculate that it started with a coach (maybe Tupac Taylor)and he turned it over to a booster. Chiz and Malzahn probably got wind of the situation later, but too late to stop it and they prayed that it wouldn't get out.

This whole thing is unreal. To me if one player is getting paid, I could see the coach not knowing. But, if a few players every year are getting those benefits, would be really tough in my opinion to not know something.
