I miss playing them every year... not because they're bad now but because then the series was just starting to even up a bit. Now we get forced to play A&M every year in some last straws picked red-headed stepchildren type game. We came into the SEC together we should play every year against each other if they want to keep this system.

A&M/Mizzou would've been a natural permanent game as they of course had the history from the Big 12 against each other and, duh, also came in together. They just wanted to sell that Arkansas/Mizzou rivalry in KC which I'm sure they were looking at WAY down the road as it's just coming into place for 2020.

You're right, I'm sure NOTHING would have happened if we had kept Petrino after it became public knowledge he gave a job in the administration to his mistress (and former co-ed) over actually qualified candidates while boning her.

Your alter career is not off to a good start.

I only remember one good season for them.

Arkansas has something Mississippi, USCe, State, A&M, KY, Vandy, and Mizzou don't have - a third appearance in the SECCG.

Define good. I know Arkansas has a football team. That’s about the best I can do.

How about this:

Good enough to beat LSU in 1992, 1993, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2014, and 2015.

He's already erased getting a game kneeled out on his own goal line from his memory. I don't blame him.

What's so funny? There is a broad lack of integrity in athletics as well as life. BP went on to coach again. Just like Freeze has as another example. I get it... appearances and all but in the grand scheme, does it matter. I mean Ole Miss knew Freeze was cheating and that was fine. But find out he has a burner phone and that's not? I just think there's a lot of hypocrisy. I'm an LSU alum. I don't give a shite what Arkansas does really. I'm glad they fired him and I'm glad they suck. I just kind of feel sorry for the hogs. They are just kind of sad now.

We are, but don't feel too sorry for us. We just strung together an unlucky coaching hire with an historically bad coaching hire. We'll be back to beating that Tiger arse before you know it.

We can't really know that until we have the NCAA up our arse for some undetermined amount of time, can we? Who wants that?

Why would firing him had canceled out these incoming lawsuits?

Because that's often what happens with public employees. Had they not fired him, all the public employees not making millions per year would have had motive.

These narratives are nothing but fairy tales.

What narrative? The facts? The way the skank was getting her money was against the law. I didn't pull that out of my arse. Look it up.

So you are just assuming NCAA rules were broken somewhere and they would automatically begin an intense investigation based upon the questionable hiring of a 40-50k/year position? That seems LEGIT. /s

According to you Hog fans...laws were broken. All those clamoring for this job were cheated!!! What was to keep them from filing all these lawsuits? Damage was already done regardless if said person breaking the law was fired for such. But yet...no lawsuits. I guess all was wiped clean as long as Petrino was fired? Another thing that seems LEGIT. /s

An example of what you are saying is if say someone who drives a truck for a trucking company plows into a family of four drunk and kills them all the immediate family won't or cant sue the trucking company as long as said trucking company fires the drunk truck driver. Lol good luck with that.

Y'all's narratives are hard to keep up with but in a nutshell here's how it breaks down:

Petrino wasn't building it the right way. Didn't know anything about defense. Couldnt recruit. Terrible coach...not good enough to coach at Arkansas. Good riddance.

Bielema was an awesome badass. Recruited out of this world and the players wanted to run through a wall for him. Integrity and uncommon were gonna win a lot of ball games blah blah blah. Just didn't work out cause the stars didn't align.

Chad Morris was a great hire cause he was gonna bring speed and a better offense. Turned SMU around in an unbelievable manner. Full tilt boogie and recruiting was once again out of this world awesome. Nope, turns out players never bought in and he just didn't know what to do with all that awesome talent Bielema recruited.

In comes Sam Pittman... everything is awesome again. SEC West better watch out!! Players are gonna wanna run through a wall again like they did with Bielema. Line play will be unmatched! Recruiting is going to be out of this world!

Meanwhile Arkansas hasn't won a conference game since 2017. Have fun with that. Probably a 99% chance Arkansas finishes last in the SEC again this season.

Whats funny is you think it was as simple as getting past a lack of integrity. It is much deeper than that and I don't blame you for not knowing but there is always at least one of you that comments on it without knowing the whole story.

Not being a Razorback fan, you wouldn’t know that we had a 2 year NCAA investigation in the Nolan Richardson era, only to have the NCAA essentially say “nothing to see here, move along.” If I’m not mistaken, we voluntarily took some scholarship hits on that one, literally for nothing. That shite kind of happens up here.

Petrino was heading down the hill even if he wasn't fired. He didn't have the staff necessary to recruit and it was a matter of time before the results showed. Now he could find offensive players that were diamonds in the rough and develop them but he would eventually fail because he just wouldn't have the players.

The defenses under petrino were average and that is all he needed. He did make adjustments at half time just a bout every game so he did some what cared a bout defense. I would welcome those defenses this time of the Year.

Bert failed because he was lazy and an alcoholic. Reports have said he would pass out in his office and he needed a chaperone around Dickson Street. A highly rated offensive lineman visited with pittman around campus and Bert didn't show up because he had better things to do in Vegas. He simply was lazy and he quit in his last year.

Chad failed because he was incompetent and insecure. He couldn't get the players to buy in and they saw him as a fake. He told players to lose weight and they ended a up with the smallest lineman in the sec. He also gutted 30+ players for no other reason as to bring his own and instead of working with what he had. That was like NCAA scholarships sanctions placed on Arkansas. He absolutely had no idea what he was doing and was too stubborn to listen to anything the players had regarding concerns.
