But who would be in the worst shape, if the starting quarterbacks for Bama or UGA got injured ???

UGA. Bama just recruited and pulled in 2 pretty decent led touted QBs, one of which was actually PBB’s great grandson and the other is Tua’s little brother

Obviously they’re both freshmen and unproven in every way but I doubt UGA has the numbers.

I'd imagine 80-90% of teams in college football would take a pretty big step back when losing their starting QB.

Wrong.

Didnt you hear? Our backups are better than our starters 100% of the time.

Bama would turn to Mac Jones unless one of the freshman was ready (doubtful). He has adequate physical skills and he has been in the system for a while now. He'd have to be a McElroy game manager type. But Alabama has a quartet of experienced receivers that can make a game manager a game breaker.

Alabama signed a couple of 4 star QBs who both went through spring practice so they at least have a little time in the system. I don't think either one are at the level of being able to handle significant playing time as a freshman though.

I don't even know who Georgia's backup would be.

Bama would be in worse shape. Georgia has recruited top QB's year after year.

Yeah... it's not really even close. At least as far as we can really foresee... We haven't seen enough of Stetson Bennett as fans to know what we would look like if he had to lead us.

Even if he's a "good" backup, there is so much on Fromm's shoulders that then get heaped back onto Coley who is new to running the offense... And that's before we get to the issue of the receiving corps turnover... the only upside to that is that Bennett is probably *very* used to throwing to guys like Landers, Blount, etc

UGA would have no choice but to go extremely run heavy and hang on for dear life.

I've seen Bama win national championships with shitty quarterbacks.

As long as they play dominant defense and can run the ball, they are going to be fine. In fact, that's probably Saban's preferred way to win over asking Tua to sling it all over the field.
